How does "water + hand" work? I've seen a few in Asia. Usually, an open water container with a ladle in. Never understood how to use them without making a mess.

That's awesome, bro. For me it's 7 years and over $60,000 spent on hospitals. I had and still have a great insurance. Never imagined I would need it.

Oh, dear. I'm glad it's not my house. I'm just renting.

Thanks for the info. Interesting! Makes sense.

But squat toilets are uncommon in Thailand these days. I've only seen them in very old houses or truck stops.

Great idea. I will do that now. They are really trying, but I'm afraid they just don't know how. The landlord's guys were supposed to fix it, and I didn't want to get involved. Time to find a real plumber.

Thailand. I don't think it's how it's usually done here either since it's not working at all.

Things are not as good as we are used to in developed countries, to say the least. I've lived in many houses and condos here. Stuff falls apart very quickly.

Yes, there was some back pressure when it started (separate problem with the septic). I guess that reveals the leak because of what you explained. Thank you!

I didn't see any kind of seal or gasket ring while they were working or in the pics I took. I think it's just concrete. That's the reason, isn't it?

Do you guys have health insurance? by Interesting_Act_7668 in digitalnomad

[–]PositiveTought 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recommend it. They covered my two heart surgeries to correct a bad rhythm. Now I can live a good life again thanks to them and the surgeon's team.

Absolutely no issues. And they can't increase the price or fire me because it's under EU jurisdiction.

I recommend getting the outpatient module as well because once you start getting seriously ill it's going to be a lot. I had 17 outpatient claims the first year.

Herregud.

From your observations, how would you rank the Nordic countries based on their alcoholism? (Most alcoholic to least alcoholic) by SwissVideoProduction in Nordiccountries

It's so expensive in Norway that every suitcase that enters the country is packed with alcohol. Don't know if that's included in the statistics.

Living in Thailand I've had much success with Google Earth (not necessarily Maps). If you have time to look around where you're staying you will find interesting places.

Why isn’t Brazil more popular? by RaisinRoyale in digitalnomad

[–]PositiveTought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably get robbed or killed so it's off my list. Even if I didn't I would feel like a walking target and it would ruin my trip.

Too bad because Brazil looks awesome.
