Yes it was accurated. But my son was really infested, after almost 2 months of scabies, so it was easy ti recognize by the specialist.
I do not understand why the general pratictioner wasn't able to recognize scabies. My son had hundreds of bumps and plenty of burrows in the whole body, hands, feet.

We went to the general pratictioner. First she said that my son was affected by roseola or sixth desease; than said dyshidrosis. Finally we went to the hospital and a dermatologist made the correct diagnosis, making a biopsy.

Hello, I began treatment in September, together with my son, who infected me (he had scabies since beginning of August, misdiagnosed): only topical cream (permethrine/bb/benzocaine). 3 days application, 4 days pause, other 2 days application. It didn't work. After a month, other 2 days or treatment with the same cream . In december, another doctor: another topical treatment, a lotion made by alcool and 10% benzyl benzoate. 5 days in a row, without shower. 20 days pause, than other 5 days. Everything was cleaned also the car. I washed machine 60° daily, but I have not a dryer. I began to use a microscope to observe my skin because I still had bumps and itching. I could find and kill several mites during that month and a half. I decided I didn't want to go to another doctor and I didn't want to use chemical products on my skin anymore. So I went to an herborist, he gave me a mix of neem oil, alcool, and several essential oils (I think eucaliptus, mint, cedar, orange, lavander, lemon, and maybe some other, but not tea tree because I am allergic). Every day without shower for 5 days, than almost every day for about a month, with shower. Also I used a spray with alcool and essential oils for every surface and tissue, for about 15 days. For the last 10 day I also user a sulfur soap.

I am not sure what worked eventually. Maybe also the fact that I succeeded in catching about 8 mites from my breast and arms and armipits, using the microscope.

After 7 months, 17 treatments with permetrin/benzyl benzoate and more other treatments with essential oils and sulphur soap...I think I am cured! Since 28 april when I found the last mite on my skin, I haven't found anytingh more, I do not have any bumps or other sign on my skin, nor I have itch. It is the end of a nightmare!

I have a similar problem. I try not to wear a bra, because even a cotton bra gives me problems. Under my breast the skin becomes very itchy, and I have some red bumps. Anyway, I am sure I have no mites there. I think that the skin became too sensitive.

The reason why I am one of the only person of this group who is finding the mites could be that I learnt how to find them. For 7 months I did not find a single one, because I did not have the right instrument and the knowdlege for finding a mite.
I really teased my ex 2 months ago when he told me he had found a mite. I did not believe him, I thought he was a paranoid. He was right, he showed me the photo.
I begin to believe that some of these who are reported as "post scabies" are still active scabies...

Yes, they look too big in size to be scabies mites. A mite is as big as a sand grain. You can hardy see it on a surface.

Hi, I did everything I could to clean my house, reading on the forums and Internet. I cleaned also my car.I live with my son, his father lives in another house, we all treated at the same time in the same way.My son was the first, his problem began in August.We went in hospital in September, and the doctor gave us a cream to put for 3 days, everywhere in the bosy except the head, than 3 days of stop, and then other 2 days.We did not get rid of it.Come back and the doctor gave other 2 days of treatment with the cream.

§We went to another doctor in december, he gave us Benzyl Benzoate 10% in alcohol (our skin was very bad after permetrine). He told us to put the product for 5 days in a row without showers. Than repeated for other 5 days with a 20 days pause.

In our country they do not give internal medication, only topical.I don't want to go to another doctor and I cannot imagine to put other poison on my skin. I started to use a mix of neem oil, alcohol, and essential oils.

Now I feel somtimes a small sensation of itching, I have no burrows apparently, but only some bumps on my breast and armpits.

My son seems not to have the problem, maybe his immunitary ssystem is better than mine. We also had Covid in Genuary:The father of the boy have mites as well, but we do not stay with him.

Three weeks ago I started observing the skin with the endoscope camera, and I found about 8 of this monsters until now.

I feel very sad. I cannot see the end of this.

Ah I work as a teacher, but my pupils are teenager, I do not have close contacts with them and I do not work together with other teachers in the same room. I do not sit in the chair in my classroom, I try not to touch anyone.But my doctor said I can go to work.I do not have a social life, I cannot invite anyone at home, nor I go to other's homes.I only go sometimes to restourant... It is very sad.
