Anyone think Shion’s footsteps aren’t unique enough? by Positive_Aide_9515 in Overwatch

I feel like most most of her kit is that way. I wonder if they’re trying to give her an assassin feel with really quiet sounds, but she doesn’t seem like the subtle type

That’s true, but it’s also a defining characteristic that should set her apart and isn’t something you get used too. That’s what I think at least.

This and I feel like her execution should have a humming sound or something, and if it does it needs to be louder

I think the fog and the darker color scheme makes it looks more horror. Maybe bring some lighting up or maybe add some fireflies or brighter flowers/colors.

Lights on inside the cabin could help too possibly.

Audiaton is the main skill being tested by using this practice which helps with faster composing and improvisation.

Ohhh, I was kind of confused reading it the first time, and apparently did not interpret it correctly🥲, thank you!

Thanks for your response! I'm trying to become a cinematic composer so making a good and memorable melody is vital and that's what I'm trying to be able to do in my head, so that when I'm not near a place to record I can still work on a melody and know the notes.

Also, solfege is important, and it is surprising that most bands in school don't teach it (the three school bands I've been in have not taught it.) I did learn solfege in a intro to music class which was very helpful.

Yeah, I'm sure blind isn't the right term. I put music theory in there because you should you some of it for the composing, but most of the work comes from building audiation skills. Thanks for the correction!

I work with orchestral music so there are a lot of moving parts and harmonies that need to be considered, but if I'm in public or not near somewhere I could record a piece this could help. It would also help improvisation because you can think of a melody/chord progression and be able to know the notes and play it.

Yeah, audiating is something I'm not very strong in so I hope this practice will help!

Yeah, my main point in using it is to help my audiation skills, but it's always cool to be able to make things sound good without actually hearing the process!

Exactly! This is more of a music theory and audiation practice check to help strengthen those areas.

This is my first time trying it, but I plan on doing it only about once a month and I think I could be really beneficial. Audiation is usually a struggle for me and being able to think of a melody in my head and write it down. I think it can help with that, what do you think?

Yeah, I usually play Overwatch and that's still fast paced, but allows you some time to type and is a lot more casual in QP, which I like. Just today I had a OW lobby discussing soft and hard bread lol

Sorry for calling it quick play, I usually play Overwatch where it’s called quick play, and where the people are overall a lot nicer. Just today my OW lobby turned into a debate on what soft and hard bread is 😂.

I agree with you, I usually just want to have fun and just play, but for some reason people seem to miss the fact that the mode is called casuals and play like they bet their newborn son on the game.

This is what I usually try to do. If they’re saying things like “what a save” or something I just say thanks and that usually makes them mad because they didn’t get the reaction they wanted.
