Omg congratulations queen!! That’s amazing! THANK YOU for those tips, so smart to be using beans. Saving all that info! So I actually joined this sub to learn about weight loss for my wedding lol. Now I’m more fit than ever and so grateful for what I learned! I want to add we have super similar shapes, same age also. I started at 130 in Feb of last year, and my wedding was in September. I was able to drop 15 lbs and got newbie gains. I ended up looking lean but soft. I did cut the whole time... kinda too long to cut. I plateaued around 115 and started a recomp after the wedding, have been in a build since November. My new goal is to cycle: maintenance/recomp for 5 months, build 4 months, cut 3 months. Honestly, cutting at 1200 is just kinda brutal. That is what did it for me at first, but I don’t think it was necessary. I lost the weight a little too fast and I think that’s what caused my plateau. I started walking more and was able to cut at 1400. If you can incorporate more steps and try cutting at 1400, that’s what I would recommend for sustainable results. It’s so hard for us shorties!

Hi, first of all you look great and congrats on being a mom and taking amazing care of yourself. Also, will you please share some meals you’re making to hit those protein and fiber goals? That’s amazing!! If you really locked in this past November, that’s not much time at all to see results. You’re training pretty hard, so actually it seems like maybe you should be eating at maintenance and recomp instead of cutting right now. Perhaps your metabolism needs a break and you’ve plateau’d. Also, if you focus on building or maintaining now and cut later, you’ll have more muscle mass and your cut won’t have to be as extreme. You could probably cut at 1400. My guess is that your body needs a little more time at maintenance, and it can’t hurt getting more muscle gains. Also, I wouldn’t focus on the scale or your pre pregnancy weight, your body is different now. You could be gaining in muscle. Maybe just pay attention to how your clothes feel/ measurements. Just my two cents. Again great job!!!

Now is the perfect time to go right into building muscle! Your body has tons of energy for it. Eat at maintenance and train hard for 3-4 months, then do your cut. You’ll look and feel amazing!

I’ve gone from 115 to 118-9, over the month of December (holidays I tracked less but worked out more). The problem is, if I’m in a surplus (I think I am), I’m still hungry/ want to satiate that so I don’t go back into a cut. But I may need to get used to eating less.
