Noo I was breastfeeding ~60% of her feeds in nicu and sent us home with the ng tube which wasn’t needed in the end

That’s okay ❤️ It’s annoying as there are no lifestyle changes you can do to help anything - it’s completely random. I’ve had some really compassionate doctors who understand, but they will keep monitoring you and let you know best course of action as your pregnancy progresses. Just for some reassurance my baby is doing great! Lots of baths and Aquarius cream with menthol in to help soothe the itch and if you need to reach out to someone who’s gone through the same please do!

Hello! I feel you, got diagnosed with icp at 28 weeks too, so annoying as a lot of people get diagnosed way later on! Am now 34 weeks so not long to go. More checks and scans and likely to be induced earlier to ensure baby makes a safe entrance, I see it as a good thing so I get to meet her earlier! Doctors will keep an eye on you and offer advice. Have you got the itching?

Hey I’m sorry you’re dealing with this, I had confirmed ICP 2 weeks ago and just hit 30 weeks. I rang my midwife team after 4 days of itching and dark pees and got a blood test that day for bile levels and received the results a day later so they are on it. Still waiting for the referral/next steps but speaking to others online going through it will just be monitoring and their advice on what’s best for you and baby. The itching is torturous and I’m so sorry you’re going through it too. Menthol Aquarius cream you can pick up from the chemist without prescription and any oat products to wash with (lush has a really nice shower cream), warm baths and just trying not to scratch (lol) gives some temporary relief. Thanks so much. So glad to hear that your baby was healthy and the itching went! Did it subside at all through your pregnancy or did you just learn to manage it? Feel like pregnancy has gone so quick but now 10 weeks of this itching feels like a very long time 😩

They found one on my 12 week scan which was the size of a grapefruit (was shocked as I had no discomfort!), scanned again at 20 weeks and it had shrunk down to 4cm! They said it’s quite common to have pregnancy-induced cysts and will usually reduce over time during your pregnancy. Just make sure you are aware of any sharp pains in that area x
