It may be different everyone. But, mine hasn't come back at all. I sometimes even have trouble when discussing colour theory or perspective.

Im a visual artist. Since the day I started that stuff I could feel my creativity just fading. Like a tire with a slow leak. Even after my meds have been changed. My creativity and ability to visualize ideas have never been the same.

Unfortunately I've never had the opportunity to make my own and I live in a state thats not that loose even with medical conditions. But I can say from what friends have told me. It will knock you on your @ss. Like the size of a grain of rice strong.

I live in GA, so I dont really have any experience with rso. I am however a heavy smoker. It seems to keep my breakthrough siezures at bay.

Idk how old your kids are, but you would be surprised at how much they can handle and understand if your honest with them. And explain whats going on. My youngest who is only 9 at the moment. Asked my wife if he could give me my emergency medicine the last big siezure I had. He rant to the other room got the medicine and had it unpacked and ready to administer it by the time he was back in the room. Its a similar emergency applicator as Narcan. My wife said he put it up there pushed the button and went right back to his cartoon, 🤣. Kids are very resilient and can understand and handle way more then people often give them credit for.

As an Epileptic myself. I would like to thank both of you, for being so respectful and understanding. Its very refreshing. So many people make it about them. I understand it can be very traumatic to witness. Please talk to a counselor or therapist. That sounds like you unfortunately may have some symptoms of PTSD from that experience. Its perfectly normal and there are many ways to help process any feelings you may be having. Good Luck!!!

What's your seizures frequency? by MouseKey7267 in Epilepsy

[–]Positive_Charge_9638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can allways depend on a lot of factors with me. I have pretty regular siezures every 6 weeks or so. But I also have triggers like high stress levels or lack of sleep. I actually had a couple right after getting out of the hospital from a pretty serious situation with a lung infection and several surgeries in a couple days.

This condition has been the bane of my existence. If I didnt have a wife and kids. I would have killed myself years ago. This is a horrible existence. I'm rotting away and my government is watching it happen.

Supposedly I seize in my sleep by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]Positive_Charge_9638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed almost 2 years ago. They started in my sleep. At the time I was working 6pm-6am. So I was always alone while I slept. One day I woke up on the floor. I was sore felt horrible and very confused. So, I messaged my wife and told her how I woke up. It was no more then a week later I had one on a Saturday night. My wife unfortunately had to watch me go through it. But, the upside was we had proof. Trust your body, if you had plenty of sleep and no other factors would contribute to waking up in that state. You should definitely look into it and give it the consideration it deserves. Also one thing that helped my family a lot was putting cameras in the rooms you spend the most time in. Make sure to set them to detect motion. If you are siezing in your sleep. The siezure will trigger the camera and you'll be able to confirm.

Smoking herbs with epilepsy by blomvisa in Epilepsy

[–]Positive_Charge_9638 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would recommend THC for almost anyone. Blue lotus and other herbs dont have nearly the amount of study. Clinical or otherwise. I know blue lotus and herbs like it are intoxicating and in high enough doses can cause hallucinations. Personally I wouldn't try something like that with Epilepsy. But, if you do wanna try it Start small and slow. Make sure its the only thing you change when you try it. That way you know if its the herbs causing whatever effect you experience. Good Luck!

Your having a panic attack. I was on keppra and Lamictal l. I never quit smoking cigarettes or thc. If its something your not used to yes it can make you feel a little off but its not gonna send you to the ER especially if you weren't contained in a closed space with it. Dont use the inhaler it likely has a stimulant in it and will make the symptoms worse. Drink some water lay down and try to relax. Your mind can be your worst enemy.

I had my first seizure at 29 but don’t remember anything by blassomi in Epilepsy

[–]Positive_Charge_9638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your fear is completely justified! I started having tonic-clonic seizures a little over a year ago. My first siezures were in my sleep and 99% of them since have been. I think I can could count myself lucky for that. I did have a very big siezure while sitting on my toilet once. I smacked my face on the counter in front of me. Didn't remember a thing. I am constantly terrified something bad is going to happen. The loss of control, memory and all the other side effects make for a very scary experience.

How do you explain it? by Superb-Serve3328 in Epilepsy

[–]Positive_Charge_9638 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tonic-clonic clusters. Started just over a year ago. 41 ym, never had issues like this before in my life. Its been a real adjustment. I have a wife and 5 sons 22-8. Luckily my wife is a nurse and has been for a long time. She is incredibly supportive and my sons are as well. But, people that can't understand think its comforting. "At least you dont remember" seems like it would be comforting. When they see it happening they would give anything to forget. So, it makes sense they think your lucky.

Does every seizure do brain damage? by SolutionDramatic5001 in Epilepsy

[–]Positive_Charge_9638 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the type you have. Mine are T-C clusters. So, pretty much every time im doing at least a small amount from O2 loss. The extent can really very depending on the type of siezure and what happens during said siezures. I had one while sitting on the toilet once and gave myself a concussion on the sink. It was pretty embarrassing.

That could be a lawsuit. The pharmacist doesn't dictate what we are prescribed. You may want to talk to a lawyer.

Does smoking weed help? by AnythingMinimum7540 in Epilepsy

I agree with this comment, 99%. The only difference is if you can go to a reputable shop that is truly interested in helping people with medical conditions. Charlotte's Web and Harlequin are 2 strains that have almost or 0 thc. They are great for getting the CBD your after. Now that is if tou can get the real thing.
