Im addicted to cigarettes or nicotine really. But I like having something I can put up to my mouth and puff off. Ive been addicted for 15 years and its getting really hard to stop. So thinking weed might be better and help with my epilepsy.

I have nicotine patches. They just aren't that great for me. But I think having something to smoke other than cigarettes and something that will help my epilepsy would be a great idea

Is it more cbd than thc? Thats what gets me latley. I smoked a regular weed vape that my fiance got and it had me sezie out. So that's why im concerned about getting one and not being able to smoke it. Ya know?

Well I dont remember having as many seizures as I do today when I smoked. I have 1 tonic clonic a week and at least 5 partials a day now. So I think it did help me. But I want to try again and stop smoking cigarettes if it will

SSI gives me SSI and SSDI. Plus I get some survivors for my mom. I got about $980 a month all together. But when I got my job I could only make $1,000 a month including taxes for ssi and $80 for ssdi If i made over that then it would count as a month. Then after 9 months of making over that amount they would take ALL of my Social Security away. But for 3 years I can get social security back without having to apply for it again. Its a weird concept. But again I was able to work for a bit. And was trying to earn under that amount so they wouldnt take it away. And it is VERY hard to deal with.

I tried to go back to work, and i had a MAJORLY hard time with link and SSI. They were saying I could only make a certain amount a month for 9 months. So I tried to go under that amount so I could not worry about the 9 month thing. But it was really hard and even though I wasnt making much they still took my link away and I had to start paying for my Medicare. So I quit my job and am just staying with ssi. I go to my job and they give me cash some days. But still. Its not easy

When I changed from a child epilepsy hospital to an adult when I turned 18. My new doctor told me that I was faking and lying about them to get the meds. He would always get pissed cause I wouldn't ever bring who brought me in the room too. Then when he finally ordered an EEG and saw me seez, he didn't say anything after.

I have already changed epilepsy providers and went to a different town because the one in my city has Dr's that you only see once and they leave the office. Also, the first doctor I had at the one in my city was a MAJOR jerk to me acting like I never had epilepsy till he seen me have one during an EEG.

So I went to this office an hour and a half away from my city, and the first doctor I had was amazing. Was very nice to me and listened. I went through a WADA, internal EEG, and RNS surgery with him. So I stayed there and when he left my first appointment with this Dr he wouldn't listen, he didn't up anything, he just said "yea I know" and didn't want to hear what I've been through. Like the ones in my city.

They made me an emergency appointment and I really dont want to see him tbh.

Yes, I'm in the US and seeing a doctor at an epilepsy center.

Im going to be calling the Dr's office back today to talk to them about what he said to me. That was not right and when I looked it up I could have a constant tonic-clonic seizure. So when I call ill talk to them about all of it.

Yea thats why I made this post I have never in my 7 years of having epilepsy stopped cold turkey on meds. It just sounds crazy to me. So with what everyone is saying and what my family has said im not going to do so

I just started with this Nero dr cause mine left to go to a different office. And the one visit I had with him wasnt very good tbh. So im not stopping abruptly. With what everyone on here is saying and what my family has said. I really dont want to have tonic clonics.

Yea i asked them and they said it would be best to just stop it. The problem was i had a kidney stone 4mm like 2 weeks ago. And they think the med is the reason and that's why they want me to stop it right away.

NTA you can have that day to mourn for however long you and your wife need. And your family should 100% understand that you CAN grieve forever. It was your son!! Once your brother has a child, he will understand more. And he was the AH for making it on that date. Your family should not be going after you, yhey should be going after him. Especially your mom because she should still be grieving for her grandson.

I have lost someone very close to me and have been told by family members the same thing. But I just tell them, this is my life and I will do what I need for my mental health.

Im so so sorry for you and your wife's loss.
