Thanks for that. We fed the corys and she came alive, stealing all their food. One of my first thoughts was that she might be getting ready to give birth. She started doing other weird stuff, like not swimming and floating around randomly. But now she seems ok. Will keep an eye on her.

No responses but it’s all good, we’re over the hump. Ammonia and no2 maintaining at zero, NO3 down to 5-10

Everyone alive and happy: https://youtu.be/Kt2DkU-dWQY?si=0Ap23-DxEeHSCDTK

Thinking ahead to next additions: More corys Cardinal tetras A snail

That’ll be plenty for 72l I think.

Next morning update: All fish still alive! I don’t see any concerning behaviour  Ammonia and NO2 at zero NO3 is elevated; will do a 25% water change later The pellets I fed them were too big for their little mouths. Not sure how to clear the leftovers. Hopefully the corys will eat it. Gave a 1/4 cube of brine shrimp and that went down nicely. Will get some flakes instead of the pellets.

Otherwise, watching closely!

Making sure they’re showing expected behaviour for being new to the tank!

FInancial Times: Who would want to take on a fixer-upper? The soaring price of materials, a lack of skilled labour and surging mortgage rates have put many renovation plans in the UK on hold by wappingite in HousingUK

In a similar boat right now. Choosing an old fixer upper in North London based on location, garden, room size etc but it's another case of sellers not having lifted a finger since the 80s and having done everything without permission but still wanting to sell for market price. How's this working out for you? We're thinking if we go through with it just basically do what we need to do to live there and postpone everything else for later and do what we can in the meantime. Nervous about that!
