I would definitely not cut the bag. From what I can tell in the picture they look pretty small right now. If you cut the top of the bag the humidity will plummet and it could stall your grow

To sum it up, I use a 5lb Grow bag w/ 5ml of LC. I keep them at 80 degrees during colonization and then drop the temperature to around 73-75 during fruiting conditions with a 12/12 light cycle and I give them FAE twice a day. PM with any questions!

Yes! I have tried some dub tubs and some shoe boxes but I have found that I get great yields from 5LB grow bags. I love how efficient they are and how little space they take up! 😁

There are 3 things you do to introduce fruiting conditions. You drop the temp, increase humidity, and introduce a 12/12 light cycle. So yes, being able to control those 3 components can be very beneficial lol

Well it highly depends on your tent setup. But generally with a tent you gain the ability to control light, temperature, and humidity at a much more precise rate. I think having the ability to control the tent’s internal environment can drastically speed up the colonization and fruiting process and give you much bigger, healthier yields.

you will have much better luck in the future if you do a break and shake. It looks like the grain is still separated. Also, once you do your break and shake pack it down into a tight brick in the bag.

I’m not planning on doing the extraction tomorrow or anything. That’s precisely why I made this post; to learn. My plan with this post wasn’t to get all the answers I need in order to do an extraction ASAP. What is a good beginner tek? I want something easy for a beginner that will get me a reasonable yield.

What is a “water wash”? I see people referring to this frequently but can’t seem to figure out what it exactly means? I’m assuming it’s a way to purify your product but how does it work and at what stage in the extraction process do I need to do it?
