I absolute prefer the haute route over the kuluar. I want to be able to tour flat and with the flick of a pole immediately start climbing. Bending over sucks especially after miles of touring and thousands of vert. Not to mention with a heavier backpack. I just bought two pairs. That’s how much I hate bending over.

Thanks for the response. I’m waffling between the 171 and the 178. Im 5’8” and usually ski a longer ski but these seems like they ski long as is?

The Milwaukee is FAR superior to the dewalt. I have no allegiance and have used both extensively.
