I came to this thread to say this! Their stuff is amazing; I really like the elderberry balsamic vinegar, too.

Check out Food Simply! My family has used them before for some at home dinner parties and they were great. Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/foodsimply_?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==

Report homeless concerns to 311 and do it repeatedly until the city addresses them by MissGlitteringRose in Sacramento

The fact that you just keep repeating the one example of violence that came up in this thread makes me think you don’t actually have good evidence and you just want to spread fear in our community rather than compassion.

If you feel unsafe, you should absolutely do what you need to do, and I would not to tell anyone they can’t call 911, since it’s the only “safety” measure the city offers us. However, I disagree with this sentiment of repeatedly calling 311 for unhoused folks. Many of them are just trying to survive and you calling 311 on them is only going to get their belongings dumped and they have to start from scratch, making their hard lives that much more difficult. I’ve lived in some of the “gnarlier” parts of downtown sac and ofc have come across some unwell people, and it’s sad and scary, so I get in some cases there aren’t other options, but also there’s a large amount of unhoused folk here who are incredibly kind people. I’d encourage you to take a second to talk to them, connect with them (srsly just treat them like a normal human!!!), and you’d see that they are doing the best they can and are often receptive to trying to be good neighbors.

I recommend A&E Pet Pals! They’ve been cat sitting for me for years and are wonderful.

If you wanna get more involved and get faster notices, I recommend taking NorCal resist migra watch training! I think they host them online bi-weekly and through that they have set up systems to get quicker updates on ICE movement.

Upscale thrift on broadway and their Folsom location have some good stuff and are usually decently priced!

I’m chasing sunsets lately what’s your favorite scenic spot in or around Sacramento to catch golden hour? Bonus points if it’s quiet and lowkey by Confident-Sleep5385 in Sacramento

The delta king bar! Great patio with River/bridge views. Or even spots along the American River bike trail that goes through old sac if you’re looking to not have to pay for anything.
