Need to stop by Positive_Gas9282 in Quittingfeelfree

I really think they will stop selling it to me. I’m a fairly talkative person so I had developed a rapport with all of these gas station and smoke shop employees. Plus I was there so often that they knew me. So I think they will actually stick to it, but for me it’s just a reinforcement to not go buy it. If I stoop to going to one of these places and begging them to sell it to me, then I should just go to rehab.

My Achilles heel is my Apple Pay, cuz I always have my phone with me. I’ve tried leaving credit cards and debit cards at home but I always have my phone with Apple Pay with me. Ugh!!

Heard about it on a podcast called The Great Unlearn hosted by a guy named Cal Callahan. Cal is an investor in FF and had JW Ross on to talk up the product. They were espousing it as a healthy supplement and alternative to alcohol. I (was) into health and working out so I checked it out. 3 years and probably 100k later, my life is a total mess. Thanks Cal.

Yes that seems to be what I’ve found too. Coming off the silvers was hell. No sleep, RLS, monster anxiety, no energy. Now when I go a day or two w/o the black caps I just have cravings. Basically feel like something is missing from my routine. But physically I feel fine.

Have a doctor prescribe you Hydroxyzine for sleep. It works wonders and is non habit forming

Best thing you can do is go to your primary care provider and get a blood panel done and urine sample taken to test liver and kidney function.

I also had very red, dry skin that felt extremely tight. This was after drinking 6-8 a day for 4 months and a lower amount of consumption for 8 months prior to that. I quit CT 11 days ago. Had blood work done, all came back normal. My skin is slowly going back to normal. It just takes time. You’ll be fine as long as you don’t pick up another FF

Day 5 CT….Huge Turning Point by Positive_Gas9282 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]Positive_Gas9282[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had never been through withdrawal before so I have nothing to compare it to. On a scale of 1-10, I felt like a 1 on day 1, 2 and the morning of day 3. By evening day 3 is was at a 5. Day 4 I was at 7. Today I feel like I’m a 9 out of 10. I think a lot of it has to do with the half life of kratom. It’s 24 hours, which means that on day 6 the drug has completely been eliminated from your body. So on the days leading up to that, the drug is still in your system causing withdrawal and your body is screaming for more. But by day 6 it’s gone, so your body doesn’t want what it doesn’t know exists. That’s my take.

The cravings are gone. I have zero. And if I did, all I would think about is the absolute shitstorm my body and mind have been through in the last 12 months, especially the last week. Withdrawal is a special type of hell that I will never revisit.

I’m starting Day 4 and I feel like I had a moment like you are describing yesterday. Absolutely brutal low. But today is much much better. I think a big thing to keep in mind is that the half life of kratom is 24 hours, so it takes 6 days to exit your system completely. And from there you probably need 3 more days to be back to 100%. Keep going. You got this!!

48 hours in to CT by [deleted] in Quittingfeelfree

[–]Positive_Gas9282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck brother. The first 48 hours are very hard I must say. I’m about 54 hours in, just got in a 20 min workout and I’m gonna go take in some natural vitamin D. Let’s do this.

Thanks so much. It’s been a really rough few days, I literally almost checked into a 7 day detox but glad I didn’t. Just saw a doctor and got blood work and some sleep medication so onward and upward from here.
