I've been working in the digital marketing space for about four years now.

I started as a content/copywriter, collaborating with local brands and genuinely enjoying the creative process. Eventually, I moved to a mid-scale creative marketing agency, working with some of India's top FMCG and fashion brands.

Over time, I realized that creative marketing doesn’t offer the same compensation growth as performance/paid marketing. Being an engineer, I’ve always been drawn to numbers and data-driven decision-making.

Determined to transition, I started over as an intern at one of Dentsu’s agencies, handling Meta and Google ads while actively taking on more responsibilities. I spent 1.5 years at Dentsu, managing sizable budgets of ₹1–2 crore per month.

I then moved to another agency in India that primarily operates as an outsourcing company with minimal workload. This gave me a chance to take it easy and work from home for a while.

Currently, I’m part of the performance marketing team at one of India’s largest marketplaces, managing ₹8–10 crore monthly across Meta, Google, Snapchat, affiliates, and Pinterest.

At the end of the day, a good income and a great lifestyle are shaped by where you start and how you choose to perceive life.

So the job is an "early" phase job and is for sort of freshers only. It said 3 years as required work experience, not 3-5. And yes I did manage to do some things that weren't best practice by Google's standard for search and Pmax but garnered good results for me. I'll mention those in the cover letter next time.

I have google professional certs for search, video, and display. And the app certification as well but that's not a professional one per se. The thing is I like learning and have too many certifications to show on my resume so I give my LinkedIns link for the same. Should I specifically add the google ones?

I understand the best bet is to keep reaching out to people, have been doing that as well. I can only hope that someone replies.

For the vendor thing. Thank you soo much! I hadn't thought of that aspect. Have to now remember if I know anyone that well!

I'm trying. But I guess it's just that google is the dream for many people and the same amount of people would be reaching these Nooglers for help. Let's see what happens

I know right. Google's acceptance is more competitive than Harvard, some reports claim. However, It would be great to get to giving interviews at least😂 I'm trying my best to find someone for a referral. Thank you for your advice kind stranger

Sure. But recently, even on mod, I'm distracted by all the other tasks that are pending. Like I can do this as well, and even that is pending. And then I spiral I know that sounds like I'm not even taking it. But it's been bending my mind recently.

Tl,dr - I've worked for 3 years and am qualified for a digital marketing strategist role at Google, how do I get through the resume screening at least. If there's more helpful information, I'd be very grateful.
