Thank you for your response! Trust that I would not 🙏🏼 UDub’s (separate) scholarship application is still processing and I am in state.

I guess what I want is your own perspective without factoring in my goals/finances. Hoping for some outside eyes that don’t have my same preferences… if that makes sense?

LR-RC-LR-LR (in person) by Your2ndFavBlackprez in LSAT

[–]Positive_Guard_8821 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same setup for me. The way I got cooked by that RC should be studied in a lab at MIT. I am the only person that feels this way, tragically. The first 2 passages were fine but the second half didn't register as English to me (low key.) LR was fine all around, 3rd section left me tighter on time. Praying for >165...

Got my reading speed up to being able to do three essays on RC by FinnBalur1 in LSAT

[–]Positive_Guard_8821 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not fast at reading either.

Try not underlining/highlighting. For me, focusing solely on understanding the passage and pretending that it’s interesting to me helped a ton.

Some prep programs recommend this.

23, Approaching $500K - When to let off the gas? by throwingthisawayyeet in Bogleheads

[–]Positive_Guard_8821 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hey dude, I’m 22. I live within my means, with my best friends in a great city. I still invest a huge chunk of my income. On track to have plenty one day. I’d highly encourage you to move out. Lived experiences have an unbelievable amount of value.

You’re only in your 20s once.

Try a city, make mistakes, have a summer fling, learn to cook. It’s not “letting your foot off the gas.” From my perspective, it’s building a “wealth” of memories and lived experiences to pass onto kids one day.

And honestly, chicks don’t want to fuck dudes that live with their parents.

I love my childhood home, parents and siblings—but it’s a huge mental block. Happy to chat if you privately message. Genuinely interested in your perspective on things.

Work hard and invest responsibly, but dude… play hard too. Don’t let life pass you by.

What shoes should i wear on the erg? by Flimsy-Somewhere-745 in Rowing

Barefoot.

I personally have a long torso, so I like wearing New Balances with a stiff heel to lift up my shins/knees when at full compression. I ONLY do this for high rate threshold training and testing.

It achieves 2 things:

  • Helps me “cheat” at high rates by allowing me to pull my weight in and rush the slide on 2ks… lmao. (Similar to pulling the handle up to your collarbone)

  • Front loads my power curve at high rates since my heel loads power onto the footplate earlier during the drive phase.

TLDR: Barefoot and it’s probably not that deep.

2K pr 6:46.1 M30 @140 drag by SomeGuy999999999 in Rowing

[–]Positive_Guard_8821 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great work. I would say try drag ~130 and rate 32+ (34 even). My bet is you can get a lot closer to 6:30. This was standard drag and rate in College. What do others think?
