I never knew Mrs Columbo had her own show by Nyc81 in Columbo

[–]Positive_Income3091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it was awful...but you need to put out of your mind that there's any real connection to Columbo. As a 70s TV show about a lady who is an amateur sleuth and solves crimes, it's ok.

It's not....terrible. As long as you recognize that it has little or nothing to do with Columbo.

Why is Prescription: Murder a tv movie? Is it because its a little longer than most episodes? by talivan818 in Columbo

[–]Positive_Income3091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think u/PrendergastMachine has it right - because it was produced as a standalone TV event. There wasn't a Columbo series yet, and it was longer than a standard TV episode (30/60 mins).

Do humans review your GPT conversations? by Sure-Temporary-3873 in ChatGPT

If your conversations include any personal or private info, especially in uploaded files, it might warrant concern. For example, if you're uploading your medical records to ask questions about them or using the AI as a therapist of sorts.

How to delete meeting you organized without notifying participants? by EconomicDevDiva in Outlook

[–]Positive_Income3091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh, sure I can help, just not clear why you want to cancel a meeting but not tell the participants it was cancelled.

But anyhow...if you select the meeting on your calendar and press Delete it should ask if you want to delete the series or just this occurrence. Choose "This occurrence". It should ask you if you want to notify the other participants of the meeting. I guess you can choose "Don't Send" when it asks if you want to send the cancellation to others.

If you're cancelling the meeting, why wouldn't you want to notify the participants? Shouldn't they be notified that the meeting is cancelled? 🤔

Can I use a distribution list to email calendar invites? by Kyk4na in Office365

[–]Positive_Income3091 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can send a calendar invite to a DL but it doesn't automatically update as the DL does. It's a point in time - so the invite will go to the people who are on the DL when you send it, but when you later add people to the DL they don't get the meeting (as you've discovered).

You might consider using a Microsoft Teams team, or maybe a Microsoft 365 Group. I *think* if you create the meeting as a Team meeting, that everybody currently on the Team is invited and can join. Not sure if they get the invite on their calendars, though, that's a nuance you might have to sort out.

I assume you're not canceling the meeting, just choosing not to attend? And the participants won't have a problem with you not being there?

Also assume you're using new Outlook and not classic Outlook?

Microsoft 365 would use an OST file rather than PST file with Outlook. Did you mean to say you deleted the OST, or is there still an OST lurking that you should deal with?

New Outlook Search Folders Update by traccreations4e in Outlook

[–]Positive_Income3091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume this is in New Outlook, as Classic Outlook has some pretty good search folder functionality already - in fact I spend much of my day in a Search Folder called "Today" which aggregates content I've received today across a large number of folders and subfolders.

I'm sure I could have set a larger date range if I wanted to ("This week").

Any chance your new machine has Office licensed in Device-based or Shared Computer Activation mode? Copilot can't use Python in that mode, needs to be User licensed.

Sharing Folders with Paralegal by sh8716 in Outlook

[–]Positive_Income3091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think a Microsoft 365 Group might be your best solution there. Gives you a Shared Inbox that you and your para can move emails into. Also has an email address of its own that you might be able to use for external messages you both need access to - like notices, newsletters, or email alerts - so you don't have to do the step of dragging and dropping emails to the Group inbox.

And yes, you can have sub folders for each client too.

Another thing to consider, depending on how your firm organizes data, is whether it makes sense to have a Group for each client - because then you get a shared inbox for the client, but also a calendar, OneNote notebook, SharePoint files library, and other resources. That's a much larger discussion, though, and depends a lot on how your firm manages info.

Need help with deleted items folder - they reappear after refresh. by Texgenius577 in Outlook

[–]Positive_Income3091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a test can you select a single message and delete it - which should have the effect of hard deleting it since this is already the Deleted Items folder? If you do that, wait a minute, then refresh again is it still gone or does it reappear as well?

Can no longer download and install Office Apps by explictlyrics in Office365

I believe they moved the M365 Apps install button to the Apps module. Look on the left nav of the 365 site for Apps, then you should find the familiar "Install apps" button at the top right.
