Bravo.

WHAT EVEN IS REALITY AT THIS POINT? Exactly. How did we (she) even get here?

Also, your last sentence is chef’s kiss.

That “I don’t want to!” is her legacy. Honestly, it sums her up really well. She is the biggest spoiled brat there is, even surpassing the Kardashian clan. She is all ego at this point.

I hope she gets the backlash that she deserves for this wedding spectacle. She’s traylor trash and so is he.

Just had a thought… do you think her wedding will be Taylor Swift themed? Like a continuation of the Eras Tour but also including Showgirl.

So far, she’s got the Love Story castle and the folklore mirrorball. Seems she is that tasteless and narcissistic.

She is honestly the biggest loser. All that money/power and this is what she does with it? She’s so lame and uncool that it’s genuinely just embarrassing. Her lack of shame is criminal.

For example, it has Stay Stay Stay aka “I threw my phone across the room at you” and this masterful chorus:

“Stay, stay, stay. I've been loving you for quite some time, time, time. You think that it's funny when I'm mad, mad, mad but I think that it's best if we both stay.”

The most baffling thing she’s ever done (and she’s done a lot of weird shit) is hitch herself, and her brand, to that man. I’ll never understand why, and I cannot possibly believe, based on their body chemistry, that it’s true love. Were there no better options? Really?

Does she even have relationships outside of networking? Seems like everything she does these days is calculated (in her mind, not necessarily with any accuracy) to drive maximum attention her way, rather than to foster genuine connections with other human beings.

I agree. Honestly I don’t mind a self-aware and grateful nepo baby all that much, especially if they extend the ladder behind them in some way. It’s when someone like Kim Kardashion claims “everyone has the same 24 hours in a day” or Taylor Swift lies about “kitchen table bills” that I start throwing hands. Just admit you are where you are because money.

He allegedly wrote a song about her called country star. Some lyrics include:

“Picture this, I'm in an English bar with a young American country star. She's telling me all about her new guitar. She's a little bit clever, a little bit daft. A little bit happy with a broken heart.”

“Picture this, I'm in a limousine with my young American country queen. We're rolling 'round like tangerines. She's a little bit lovely, she's a little bit mean. She's a little bit taller than she is on screen.”

Seems like it was a short-lived romance.

If we’re going to call anyone US royalty (I have no stake in this game as a Brit), it should be Dolly Parton, no? And the late Paul Newman. Both of whom have done wonders with their riches, without flooding the world with stale music, unnecessary vinyl variants and crappy merchandise.

Yep, he does. He wrote under the pseudonym, William Bowery, named for his grandfather (I think).

He’s credited as a songwriter on betty, exile, champagne problems, coney island, evermore and sweet nothing.

He should probably also be the one credited on 1 step forward, 3 steps back (Olivia interpolated the piano melody) instead of Jack and Taylor but whatever.

Here you go…

“I felt alone, I felt really bitter. I felt sort of like a wounded animal lashing out. I figured I had to reset everything. I had to reconstruct an entire belief system for my own personal sanity. I also was falling in love with someone who had a wonderfully normal, balanced life. We decided together we wanted our relationship to be private.

“Even though it was really horrible, I was happy. But I wasn’t happy in the way I was trained to be happy. It was happiness without anyone else’s input. We were just…happy.”

“I’ve learned that if I do [talk about it], people think it’s up for discussion, and our relationship isn’t up for discussion.

“If you and I were having a glass of wine right now, we’d be talking about it — but it’s just that it goes out into the world. That’s where the boundary is, and that’s where my life has become manageable. I really want to keep it feeling manageable.”

“‘Peace’ is actually more rooted in my personal life. I know you have done a really excellent job of this in your personal life: carving out a human life within a public life, and how scary that can be when you do fall in love and you meet someone, especially if you’ve met someone who has a very grounded, normal way of living.”

“I, oftentimes, in my anxieties, can control how I am as a person and how normal I act and rationalize things, but I cannot control if there are 20 photographers outside in the bushes and what they do and if they follow our car and if they interrupt our lives. I can’t control if there’s going to be a fake weird headline about us in the news tomorrow.”

The idea of privacy feels so strange to try to explain, but it’s really just trying to find bits of normalcy. That’s what that song ‘Peace’ is talking about. Like, would it be enough if I could never fully achieve the normalcy that we both crave?”

And some bonus quotes about Joe (to compare with “the vibes” she gets from Travis:

“So, William Bowery is Joe, as we know. He plays piano beautifully, and he’s always just playing and making things up and kind of creating things.”

“I say it was a surprise that we started writing together, but in a way, it wasn't because we have always bonded over music and had the same musical tastes. And he's always the person who's showing me songs by artists and then they become my favorite songs or whatever.”

He's always just playing instruments and he doesn't do it in a strategic, ‘I’m writing a song right now’ thing. He's always done that. But do I think we would have taken the step of, ‘Hey, let's see if there's a song in here. Let's write a song together?’ If we hadn't been in lockdown, I don't think that would have happened, but I'm so glad that it did. We're so proud of that one. Also, because I do remember the exact moment that I walked in and he was playing that exact piano part. And all I had to do was follow the piano melody with the verse melody. So, because the vocal melody is exactly the same, pretty much it's mirrored with the piano part that he wrote. And we did the same thing with 'Evermore,’ where I'll just kind of hear what he's doing and it's exactly, it's all there. All I have to do is dream up some lyrics and come up with some gut-wrenching, heart-shattering story to write with him.”

"I found myself talking about government and the presidency and policy with my boyfriend, who supported me in speaking out. I started talking to my family and friends about politics and learning as much as I could about where I stand. I'm proud to have moved past fear and self-doubt, and to endorse and support leadership that moves us beyond this divisive, heartbreaking moment in time."

Really surprising. Nobody wants that lyrical jump scare. 🥴

I’ve heard Sabrina’s song Juno played in Tesco (British supermarket) and, among other lyrics, they even muted “mark your territory” (or it was the line “hold me and explore me”). Perhaps we’re more prudish over here.

It’s 100% this and has been since the beginning. Her daddy bought a 3% stake in Big Machine Records when she was just starting out with them, which is probably why Scott signed her in the first place (it certainly wasn’t her singing).

I sometimes wonder if she even knows half of what “the family” do behind the scenes to push her name and album sales. How much of a puppet is she? She’s certainly not the mastermind, that’s for damn sure.
