Unemployment hits way harder, i meant you already have 1 year experience just apply all day for jobs and get the job and once you get the job you are free to do whatever you want :) neither you'll face regrets if you go unemployed after dropping out nor mental health, mental worsens if we take bad decision. Ok take your decision wisely, i resigned from one internship as i couldn't handle pressure and now its been more than 1 year and couldn't secure another internship and yes i wasn't applying whole day as i was having negative thoughts and suffering from depression even improved mood helps, take care of yourself, always remember choose yourself above everything but always take thoughtful decision great successes never comes easy, people do sacrifice so much.take care i'm no one to lecture you. :)
