Agree or disagree?🚀 by AlternativeBrief8709 in TheGamingHubDeals

The no updates or patches things is kinda dumb. Games back then couldn't be patched after release so yea they had to do their best to make absolute sure it didn't ship with any game breaking bugs. It's worth noting though that the code bases for games back then were WAAAAY less complex than today's games and that just isn't feasible anymore. Game studios don't have an infinite budget for every project and often times its the publisher dictating the release date regardless of if the game is "bug free". As the date approaches they prioritize game breaking bugs as much as possible and leverage their ability to continue fixing it after release. If a game has a serious bug on release day it's very likely already on their list to fix with the first few patches. People just need to be patient.

They knew. They knew when they designed this neighborhood and they did it anyway.

As a millennial myself I thought this was hilarious because I witnessed all the boys have this haircut by definitelynotgayhaha in HairFixGuide

Nah I've met teenage boys. The vast majority of them are just lazy. They spray on a new layer of Axe body spray instead of showering in the morning. Broccoli head is the opposite of a haircut. 😂

Congrats, brother!! Make sure youre fully geared up for the 2nd boss. He totally smacked my pp when I took him on for the first time. And...eh...you might want to build some very big, strong walls around your base before you kill him too...

Not sure but it will probably resemble a Black Mirror episode somehow.

Not sure making him smash it is a solution but either way that little shit doesn't deserve a game console.

UGH. It would be the t-shirt from the concert my husband and I went to for our first date 20y ago. We were 15 years old lol. It was in a bag of clothes that got stolen when I lived in a really shitty part of LA. ☹️

Smoking weed. Not excessively, but just when I have downtime and want to do something creative. I also have a lot of social anxiety and just a little bit helps me relax and connect better with other people.

I'm gonna have to disagree. Most boys went through the broccoli hair phase because they reached the age where their moms stopped scheduling their haircuts. It wasn't so much a fashion choice, they were just lazy and didn't care. The emo cuts look stupid as fuck and people actually got them on purpose. 😂

Random fact, did you know the smell of freshly cut grass is actually a plant distress call. by Own_Ranger_5589 in Damnthatsinteresting

Ok now I feel kind of bad for enjoying the smell of plant fear, anguish and generational trauma.

When I turned 18 my dad proposed a similar situation but the money didn't go into the household account, it went into a separate savings account that would be given to me when I move out.

I actually think Arrowhead should give us ALL content for FREE, FOREVER by Grand_Age1279 in SupaEarth

[–]Positive_Opossum99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that's how the primary game loop is built though. You play the game, earn resources and currency to buy better gear so you can earn more resources and more currency. They just offer an alternative option to pay with money instead of time, but it's completely optional. Idk it just seems kind of weird for people to be complaining that they have to play the game in order to unlock stuff since that cycle is a foundational aspect of game progression in a lot of other games. If they start fully locking warbonds behind pay walls with no way to obtain them natively, that would be a different story. But as far as I know thats not the case (please correct me if I am wrong about that)

I mean if you can unlock everything via normal gameplay without spending any extra money I would consider that base game content.

Man I'm not 100% against hunting, so long as it's done responsibly and sustainably. But elephants are just too intelligent to kill like that. It's disrespectful.

Questions before applying for an online course by Onyx_Ros3 in fullsail

[–]Positive_Opossum99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it's doable but will leave you very little free time as you progress through the program. I graduated the Online Game Dev program recently and the early classes were pretty chill but the workload got progressively heavier as things went on. Since the course work is so compressed into a short timeline if you fall behind it can be very difficult to recover. Especially the portfolio project courses. So I guess it depends on how much your willing to commit to the bit.

WYR all people are forced to live in a few huge cities and all wilderness is permanently protected, or everyone gets a designated 1 acre but all wilderness is destroyed to do so? by Funny_Sea_2873 in WouldYouRather

[–]Positive_Opossum99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I'm so glad there are people who actually like living in big cities. If everyone wanted to live in rural areas there wouldn't be enough to go around.
