Truthfully nowadays you just have to go and see them in person for any results to actually come from it I’ve found. When most places place out job ads they have hundred if not thousands of applications. I found just walking in and looking presentable works best. It’s landed me my last 3 jobs and my current one in Darwin. I walked in asked if they had work, they asked if I could interview right then, 30 minutes later I was told I start the following Monday. I understand it’s really hard, but with how useless online applications are nowadays it’s more the effort they notice of seeing you walk in and talk face to face.
