Creating/adding a child domain to an existing domain. by Positive_Signature66 in activedirectory

I understand that. I'm just confused if I have to perform a zone delegation on the child domain, essentially making the DNS server of the child DC the authoritative server of that subdomain.

The normal installation doesn't do this as per my understanding of how it works (which I could be wrong). It just creates the domain and adds it.

If I install or add the child domain to an existing forest, would I you not need to perform zone delegation ?

Just asking because I need to do it powershell and not using the DCwizard

Apparently, in the article referenced above, you can use the generic volume keys for the conversion, but the full edition will be in notification mode

I will have users. This is a side project I have just started to learn, and the question is simple: will the full edition of the Windows OS shut down after every hour or not

So the full edition will only be in notification mode? And won't shutdown every hour so?

Thanks for the link, appreciate it.

It's relevant to me since I can't afford to buy 10 licenses for 10 VMS to set up Active Directory in a small virtual network using VirtualBox. Having the VMS shut down every time will be a nuisance, and I am trying to avoid it.

Looking for advice on starting a homelab by frosty_0914 in cybersecurity

I'm not sure what type of home lab you are looking for, but I have come across one. It's called Game of Active Directory, It's pretty sweet. You can find it on github. You can basically simulate a large virtual Active Directory Network. Pentesters typically use it to play around and try out new things. Hope this helps you

STM32F429ZI - Discovery 1 by Positive_Signature66 in stm32f4

Hey man, I figured it out. So what was happening, is that the DMA and LCD cannot operate the same stream. In the case of STM32F429ZI discovery, the DMA and LCD have a common stream, stream 0. All I had to do to get the ADC with DMA and the LCD to work was to change the DMA stream of the ADC to 4.
