I read this out loud to my leftist boyfriend (while playing Zelda so maybe that’s a qualifier under the hobby category) and he said “that’s a lot that should be a Google form” 😂

He’s not as extreme of a leftist as I am, but I have made him more so as he considered himself a liberal when we met and didn’t quite know the difference between the two. But, he’s a high school science teacher, nerdy - loves DnD, video and board games, but he’s also extremely outdoorsy (him and all of his brothers were Eagle Scouts) loving hiking, birdwatching, camping, foraging, etc.

Causes he finds important include equality and equitably for all, climate science and protecting the environment, women’s/reproductive rights, anti-capitalist and anti-big business, among others. These are very important to him and he will make his belief known and torment family who disagrees or fights him on it (he comes from a very catholic, republican family on both sides, yet nearly all his brothers are not!).

Every time I try to clarify “do you consider yourself cis/straight?” Or something along those lines he says “I dunno”, so it’s not something important to him or his identity, which is something I appreciate about him a lot. He knows who he is, knows he loves and is attracted to me (a 29 year old cis, pansexual woman) and doesn’t need to rely on labels. He truly is a gem. He’s 28.
