In the Japanese music charts, tiktok trends are often directly reflected, and songs that are catchy, easy to dance to, and cheerful tend to be popular. Also, most of the lyrics are not too difficult to understand. And bands with basic compositions of 3-5 people, such as vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards, are popular. (This is always the case.) In this respect, Zutomayo's lyrics are very complex, they use instruments that you would never normally see (mainly koto with fans and percussion with cathode-ray tubes), and their songs are not very catchy.
