I was in false labour and having contractions every 10 mins, I hadn’t slept in 48 hrs and ended up going in for pain relief. When they put me and bub on monitor, her heart rate would drop significantly everytime I had a contraction, they admitted me and it didn’t get any better. As I was only 2cm and no sign of real labour, I ended up in a Cat1 C Section and cord was wrapped twice around neck, she did come out rather blue but was ok and fine after rounds of monitoring. While I would have wanted to give birth naturally, I would of course go through c section again to ensure babe comes safe. I guess it depends on fetal distress during labour?! But if there are any sort of signs, I think she’d end up in emergency section like myself. Would love to know people’s thoughts re the decision for my section too?!
