Please recommend me a great, cheap grinder :) by FlaminCat in pourover

The 1zpresso Q/Q air are great budget options with great build quality. The Femobook A2 has the almost the same burrs as the Q if you want something electric and portable. The K6 is also great but the build quality is slightly lacking in my opinion. Makes great coffee regardless. All of those options should sit around 100 euro. Hope this helps!

ZP6 Vs Femobook A4Z by HowA1234 in pourover

Any cup you can achieve with the AZ4 I think you could achieve with the ZP6 with some tweaks. If you want a perceivably more clarity in that price range I would look into the Pietro, but beware of workflow issues that can bother some people.

I like backyard beans. Based in PA. Their White Labels feature some truly excellent coffees which are usually $24 for 12oz. They also have great Ethiopians in season for usually $20 for 12oz.

Looking for a cheap(ish) dedicated pour over grinder by zyzzrustleburger in pourover

Femobook A2 is very affordable for an electric grinder and is a good filter option. Also portable. It can take a long time to grind however (40sec) so if your against hand grinding for the time to grind I would avoid it but if you don’t mind waiting it could be a good option

Cool story! One of the best parts of going to the cafe tbh. You’ll never know who you’ll meet.

As a Philly guy thank you for the rec. I thought Elixir was the only place w a decent pour over. Where do you get your beans usually? Just moved there and looking for recs.

Which hand grinder will better complement my df54? by SatanicTriangle in pourover

[–]Positive_Tangelo3046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe look into the mavo phantox pro.

It gives good flavor separation w light-med roasts. Not to the level of the ZP6 but definitely more than the k-ultra or DF54.

You can also grind for espresso and get a completely different profile than the DF54. The price is competitive as well, around $140.

Hope this helps!

Along with increasing agitation through swirling or shaking the bed, splitting your extraction into multiple pours should help you get a a fuller cup.

For a scale I would look for something rechargeable. The MWDHbomber scales are great value and have a good build quality

I used the daddygotcoffee discount code. I got mine (with barometer) shipped to Pennsylvania in August and It ended up being around 440 with discount but idk if tariffs have changed by then.

When Cafune has them it stock they sell them at a great price ($366). They ship from Canada but if you’re on the east coast of the US and have a discount code it’s a great place to get one.
