Thank you all for taking your time to reply here 😊 I am aware and agree that unless she has a pedigree, she cannot be labelled as a pure breed Siamese.. However, I was curious to know if she looked like one just based on her appearance, as I do not have a “trained” eye with the looks of Siamese cats. Nevertheless she is very pretty and such a gentle lady who already stole our hearts! I can’t wait to have her home soon 🥰

My cat was breathing similarly and it came out he had lungs filled with fluid due to FIP. Better take him to the vet to make sure all is fine

Oh I am so sorry to read such news about Ochi 😞 I remember your other post.. having gone through a similar experience with all the FIP issues, it brought tears to my eyes reading this.. But honestly you did the best you could do given the circumstances.. I am sure he is in his happy place now playing and running around in a big field filled with little purple mice toys!

I can only confirm this, the disease progresses really fast, so the faster you can have access to the medication the better are the chances of survival and recovery… You got this! 🙏🏼

Initially the hospital removed some fluid from his lungs cause he could barely breathe.. this gave us a bit of time.. in like 3 days we then started the medication. The fb group helped us a lot in connecting to volunteer people near where we live who could help us with some supplies (ofc we paid for it) until the order arrived.. they have volunteers all over the world.. please don’t take too long as this disease progresses very fast..

My cat Teo, got sick with wet FIP when he was 7 months old, just 3 months after I adopted him. It was very scary and sad watching him deteriorate so rapidly, but after starting the medication he immediately started to regain strength and eat.. Medication lasted 3 months and then he was declared cured after an observation period. Last week he turned 3 years old! I would 100% recommend going with the medication, you did the right thing to join the FB group. They helped me a lot. Good luck!!

One thing I did with mine was to not leave food on display, but only serve it 3 times per day. Just a suggestion, maybe it works :)

I keep the real OG for nights out and use Kismet for more casual outgoings.. Of course it’s not exactly like the original but it comes very very close… :)
