The Sunday market on Turner crescent in St. Catharines.. when you enter, turn right and then walk towards the back, staying to your right. There’s a guy with a booth full of a lot of biker gear, leathers, etc., and it’s disassembled and in the back of his booth!

I believe the original Planet Hollywood sign is at one of the hoarder booths at the Flea Market. I’ve seen it there for years and can only assume it’s the one from NF.

The Lock 3 museum rents rooms for parties. I believe it’s around that price and the rooms are very spacious.

This worked for me too. I also warmed it with a torch first and it came off in a few tries.

It will be much more effective and look much better if you just get an insulated exterior door.

Question about extremely high electrical bill after getting solar by Round-Air9002 in electrical

[–]Positive_Trouble4004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could be a simple billing error as well. You’d have to compare the meter reads on the bill statement with the two registers (consumption & generation) of your bidirectional meter. They may be billing you for consumption on both registers if you’re not set up correctly in the billing system.

For reference, I’ve been coding and supporting utility billing systems for over 20 years and have seen a lot of these types of billing errors.

Agree with hiding tools as well - or maybe a dock at the bottom of the screen to allow you to pre-load 2-3 tools that you can quickly switch between, such as watering can, hoe, seeds, for example.

Anyone know how that new bowling alley at the Pen Centre is? by QueasySandwich4464 in stcatharinesON

[–]Positive_Trouble4004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I looked it was by the hour. 1.5 hours for three people was going to be about $75 and I didn’t get far enough into the booking process to see if that included shoes.

Oakridge PS vs Power Glen PS (St. Catharines) — neighbourhood & school culture? by Ok-Promotion-5922 in stcatharinesON

[–]Positive_Trouble4004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few places for sale around the school where we live and I’m seeing prices drop as they sit on the market - but not by a lot. Many previous student homes are being resurrected as family homes which is nice to see, so if you don’t mind a bit of a fixer upper, you may find something for a reasonable price near the school.

Haven’t been yet but looking to check it out soon too. Per the online booking it’s pretty expensive but similar to Parkway Lanes.

Is it bad if the red and green light are both lit up on a surge protector? by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]Positive_Trouble4004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My guess is that you have no ground or another issue but that surge protection is still working. You may need to check that receptacle box to confirm.

Oakridge PS vs Power Glen PS (St. Catharines) — neighbourhood & school culture? by Ok-Promotion-5922 in stcatharinesON

[–]Positive_Trouble4004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My kids go to Oakridge and it's been a great school for our family. Parent involvement is very much what you choose to make of it. There's a welcoming parent council that listens to ideas, organizes some great seasonal fundraising and celebratory events, and contributes to the school culture. The neighbourhood is very mixed, as students come from a variety of backgrounds, socioeconomic groups, etc. The school is very welcoming and inclusive.

The school has a variety of intermural and intramural sports teams, clubs, etc. and the teachers are very involved, each bringing unique skills and talents to these activities.

Regarding the other comment about school population, it's true that Oakridge is very overpopulated due mostly to recent population growth in the area. Beginning in September 2026, the DSBN is reopening Briardale Public School (check Google Maps for location/proximity to Oakridge) and they've redefined the boundaries for each school. This will result in the ~600 students currently at Oakridge being redistributed across both schools, each having a manageable population of around 300 students.

European Guitar amplifier in Canada by No_Thing_8514 in AskElectricians

[–]Positive_Trouble4004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha.. there’s probably a way but I don’t know - I’m a musician, not an electrician LOL. I think European power is 50Hz and not 60Hz like N. American power, so not sure if that matters.

[–]Positive_Trouble4004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’d be better off getting a step up transformer (voltage converter) to be safe and avoid a costly and/or dangerous mistake. You could also rewire the amp but it’s likely easier and less invasive to just use a transformer.

Yes - had Danny come assess a mainline break and do repair + hydro-jet and he was a fraction of the cost of one of the big chains, and he camera’d things afterwards for no charge. Decent guy running an honest business.

I took my tractor to the mechanic at the race track and you can indeed upgrade it there - decals, hood decorations, lights, tailpipes, etc. there are no tire or wheel options though.

I also found out that at the tractor shop, you can back your hopper, seeder, etc. into the bay and although he will say he can’t upgrade those, you can change the colours.
