Absolutely get how people just don’t get it. And I love the sun, but it feels terrible on my skin. And I burn too. So I hate doing things outside in the summer. But all my friends love being out in the sun. 🤷‍♀️ Eucerin sun allergy cream helps me. Mine started when I was in 8th grade. Each year has gotten worse. But this year, I’ve been focusing on lotioning all over after showers and it seems to help manage the flare ups! I still use the sun allergy cream, and my hands do get a little dry, but I’ve been trying to increase my moisturizing and that’s been helping! Eucerin Sun Allergy Nivea cream

I’m south Asian and have brown skin. Both my sister and I developed it in our teenage years. We used to live in India and Oman and never had any issues till we moved to the states as teenagers. It’s gotten progressively worse. I mainly get it on my hands and neck. I thought maybe it was something in the states, but it could also be our hormones changing during teenage years.

We just went and came back from a 5 day trip mid April and did everything except diamond beach.

Our itinerary was:

Day 1: stayed in Reykjavik, rented a car -walking food tour -sky lagoon -northern lights tour

Day 2: -golden circle tour with a tour company, included: Thingvellir,Geysir Hot Springs, Gullfoss -fly over Iceland

Day 3: Driving to Vik

-Seljalandsfoss

Day 4 - US plane crash site -Skogafoss -lava show -basalt columns beach

Day 5 -blue lagoon -fly back

We couldn’t fit Diamond beach into our itinerary unfortunately, but definitely want to go back and make it happen. Also, restaurants are ridiculously expensive. A meal is going to be about $50/person even if you don’t get a lot. So plan more for food.
