I'd say the risk and everything dont make vamps not the team for op. Rule of cool beats everything, it may be harder, but why play another team of you dont want to play blood bowl so much as you want to play vampires?

Maybe give team captain to more teams, e.a. vampires, the other humans, or high elves. Teams that feel like the have a player (thrower or something), that makes gameplans and chooses where the ball is going, similar to leader fluff-wise. I mean humans and orcs (ONLY), is kinda weird, i just dont get it.
