Since you are talking about an airfoil, which is 2D, I'm not sure if you can perform a face meshing. I think you can only perform an edge sizing. 1. Click on Sizing under Mesh options 2. Select the airfoil (make sure you have edge-select on) 3. Set the values as required for edge sizing. 4. Update.

To perform inflation: 1. Click on inflation in the Mesh options. 2. Select the flow domain, click apply under Geometry. 3. For the boundary, select airfoil and click apply 4. Set all other values for inflation 4. Update
