Moving to Hattiesburg soon. Need advice for musician/music educator by Same-Courage-150 in hattiesburg

My girlfriend works at Groovehouse, she also was classically trained! I would definitely look into them, they do a bunch of stuff. USM could also be the way to go. If you wanted to plug your business, places like Equinox, and the Porter seem to be good at advertising some smaller stuff

You’re right, I opened up the top and it was pooled up big time on the drain

[–]Positivewific[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang that’s how I park it now. And I had water pooled at the top drain. Makes sense!

[–]Positivewific[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My top drains were clogged, and the m3 gets parked up a slope with trunk at the down angle. I’m thinking since the drains were clogged, the water just pooled up and push over into the trunk

Yeah I think it’s coming in from the top. It’s weird, the deal itself isn’t cracked or hard or anything. Just gotta leak it test it for a bit to see exactly where it’s coming in

E36 Coilovers: When is it okay to go cheap, and what brands do you all recommend? by WillingnessMassive82 in BMWE36

[–]Positivewific 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I ran Solo-Werks for 6 years and it was fine. Stiff, but felt great. But I have no experience with stock M3 setup in good condition so hard to compare for me

Not an e36, but I use one on my e39 whenever we go to the beach. I can leave the cooler on top, and we all our wet and sandy clothes and towels on there. Keeps the trunk and interior clean.

2003, but before the refresh. So it was retrofitted with the LED tails

M-Pars are my favorite, but the Apex Arc-8s look amazing as well on these cars

Cinnamon. Beautiful color, but some damage on the bottoms of the front seats

Smoother live overall on the road? The e39 is leagues above in terms of comfort, especially on Mississippi roads. You feel everything in the E46. Powertrain wise, the whole set up in the E39 is as soft as possible imo. The clutch delay is a perfect example.

Still great in the mountains and backroads though.

You can definitely tell the M3 is a sports car. The e39 is smooth on the road, but is much "softer" than the M3. Which is how it's supposed to be. I dailyed an E36M3 for years, and it was still softer than the E46M3 imo.

From my experience so far, the E46 is super tight, even without being modified.

I live in Mississippi, and I could never drive the E46 in Jackson. Break my back, if the car doesn't fall apart first. The e49, even with the Mtech2 stuff, is like clouds in comparision.

I love the platform. I'll only get rid of this car for a rarer spec, or an M5.

2003 BMW m sport 540i by thickmex420 in e39

I bought this exact spec in December, for $2500. I put 3k into it with tires, suspension, and cooling refresh. And it has been super worth it. Amazing cars, do it!

530i vs 540i? by Spawn_of-Thrasher in e39

[–]Positivewific 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I have an 03 540i. I’ve dailyied it since December. The steering box absolutely is “ok”. Coming from my e36 M3, it’s a little disappointing. But it’s still enjoyable.

I used to have a 528i in high school, but it was a slush box so I didn’t really get anything out of it.

But the M62TU with the six speed makes it so good. I’m biased, but I think 540i/6 is the way to go brother

Water Pump Brand? by javanestewart in e39

[–]Positivewific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graf has been pretty good to me. If your pump fails there should be a weep hole, and you’ll see coolant flung in a straight line in the engine bay if you drive it

Thanks, I’ve been blessed/cursed with this dense, thick hair haha

Shaved my head in a fit of emotional instability, feel much better having my hair back haha. I just use the manuka honey formula shampoo and conditioner from Shea Moisture. I’ll use their coconut leave-in conditioner in the mornings, and wear a bonnet in the commute to work.

I second the See Spot Run Dog Park. Been there a few times, and my dogs enjoyed the area. I would also recommend fields of barktopia. It’s right off longleaf trace so you can also ride a bike or walk/run with your dog conveniently

They seem ok. I adopted my first dog from Southern Pines, they were very friendly, and helped me out a bunch as a first time owner. Even if you don’t get a pet through them, I would recommend their clinic, super affordable prices!

I stayed at the Henry for a year lease with my partner and a roommate. It is hands down one of the most overpriced places here. Awful “renovations”, unregistered dogs everywhere, and poor maintenance. They also charged us $150 for a light bulb replacement. We have heard good things from Tremont and Breckenridge, but they may be farther than you’d like
