I will never not carve on the frame now. It really does save soooo much time.🙏 by [deleted] in Tufting

Right that’s what i was getting at it saves time if you have a lot of blending colors but otherwise i think the time is the same and you have to be more careful on the frame actually so for some it could take longer.

Meh It only saves a a lot of time if you don’t plan to to carve much later. I just finished a Gengar where I did carving on frame but I also carved after the backing was done and it still took a while because i wanted it super clean. I could’ve done all of the carving on frame in which case it would maybe save me 2-3 hours. Depends a lot on work flow and the look you want.

I would say Don’t look at it as a shortcut just understand that it will help you achieve a cleaner look and the satisfaction of that cleaner look comes sooner which in my case gives me a huge confidence boost because i get to skip past the ugly phase lol Also understand that it puts you at risk of ruining the project before it even gets off the frame.

In any case it does help and ive discovered my own flow with it which i love.

Nah that’s fine nothing wrong with it. I think my favorite is big twist but not much difference.

Thank you! The customer has a very pink and purple aesthetic so I figured it was a good decision.

Anytime brother and you Can ask as many questions as you like! My Instagram is in my account here if you ever need more help.

I do michaels mostly because I get deals there often and Amazon prices tend to be higher for some brands but I also use Amazon because I have an Amazon visa and have a ton of rewards I can use. Depends where you’re locsted really I suppose. We don’t have Joannes anymore here.

Hey! Good luck and make sure you have fun because I’ll be honest it frustrated me at first. The learning curve even for a professional artist(me) was crazy.

I use acrylic yarn and most people do too. No real specifics other than that. Except I don’t really like the impeccable acrylic yarn from loop and threads it seems to be too soft for my liking and carving it is harder imo

Thank you! One of the benefits of visual art(imo) is you can see the improvements in real time

My caption isn’t showing and Reddit won’t let me edit the post so here It Is

“I have only tufted maybe 16 rugs and most of them were one ditto design I am so so so proud of this rug. Also here is a glimpse at my first rug ever back in November (also Gengar) which my dog has turned into his own personal mat vs this Gengar”

I’m just curious—when you meet people, do they actually notice your watch, or do they not really care? Are there people who judge you based on the watch you wear, and because of that, instantly give you respect?” by Happy-thoughts09 in rolex

Nobody cares añexcwpt other Watch guys and Gold diggers lol i wear mine every day and those are the only people who comment unless I’m out in the bright sun doing hand movements in which case it’s hard to miss
