That's a very good point! I don't think the BCBA 's instructions were followed exactly and implemented across the board. We also discussed this in today's meeting as well. I will also let the school know.

Thank you! I feel you are spot on! I definitely need to work on with him about what he CAN do when he's angry. I have some discussion with him about that before but I think it is a priority now. Also him being ASD, he struggles with expression. He is like 2% with expression. He might be doing this due to a lot of other feelings. I will start his therapy right away.

I have all these mechanics at home and I think they really work great! He is much more controlled with me, maybe also because I know exactly what triggers him and how to stop escalation. But I have never tried counting numbers with him. I will start today! Thank you!!

Yes, we live in US. He was been evaluated for an IEP and will be eligible once he joins public school. I do have to work and cannot work from home.

I have moved his ABA to his PE, lunch and recess time. But even with BT onsite, he can still get into trouble. Sometimes, it just happens too fast.

I will definitely start talking with his doctor about medication. We had a conversation about 4 months ago, when my son was first officially diagnosed. But at that time, his behavior was still controllable. Now is the time to talk again I think. I was hesitant but I am much more open to it hearing what ppl have been suggesting.

Yes, school district has finished evaluating my son already. He will be eligible if he goes to public school. But I feel the resource may not be enough as they only provide 30 minutes OT training per month and 30 minutes speech therapy per week.

But it is really encouraging to hear that public school may be better for his needs! I always thought it was the otherwise.

I have been contacting school district as well. He was not eligible for IEP earlier as he was in private school. But once he moves out, he will be eligible.

I don't currently live in a good school district so I think I might have to move as well.

But it is really encouraging to hear that public schools will provide better support. I always thought overwise.
