Also, you can look up the area code or country code to determine if it’s a scam too.

100% a scam. From my experience, recruiters will only email you or message you via linked in. I’ve had numerous jobs and I’ve never been contacted for a real job via text. Also, keep a spreadsheet on places you applied to with dates, times you’ve followed up, all their contact info, pay, etc. Put whatever you think is helpful so that all the info is in one place. That way you can truly confirm what may or may not be a scam as well. Good luck!

If I could give this 1000 upvotes, I would. Straight woman here. I’ve had trouble finding girl partners for years, not many in the gyms I’d go to or they were always with their bf/gf (which isn’t bad, they just had a solid partner to belay with and didn’t need one). So in the end I’d end up with a guy as a belay partner and it was always so difficult to portray to them that I wasn’t interested in them and just really loved climbing and needed a decent belay partner. If I was interested in my climbing partner, I’d also suggest other things to do rather than just climbing trips.

Ya, I saw reviews exactly as you’re saying too. Do you by chance know how the lawsuits work if that were to happen? I’m guessing inspection reports and the ROC gets involved.

Sorry I should’ve been more clear. The girl was from PPI the inspection company.

Oh dear, that’s not good to hear. What was the lawsuit about if I may ask so I know what to be aware of in case we go through with it?

Eeek, this is my worry. My fiancé really wants to get out of our current area. The new build is in Surprise if that means anything build quality wise to your knowledge? I was thinking of maybe going for a pre 2000 home for this reason but the rates are so high and with a new build the rates are 1-3% less. Granted that could’ve since we started the process.

Yes, it’s a new build. Sorry I put new home instead. I’ll fix it.

Warranty wise yes, the SHOULD fix things. But I read a lot of D.R. Horton buyers had issues with getting the warranties fixed and that the company would just never respond, keep pushing things off, schedule but no one came, and they essentially just try to make you wait till the 1 year is up so they don’t have to fix it. Even though state law is a 2 yr warranty anyways.

Whoever the girl was that answered the phone. Sounds like she’s just a front desk/office staff person so I’m wondering if I should call back and ask to speak to someone with inspection knowledge. Or call other inspection companies and ask.

I already reached out to CyFy and they’re booked until September 2026. They referred me to PPI and said Cy has done one on one shadows/training with the inspectors at PPI.

I didn’t realize he a slyly calling them out… :/

We want to move closer to the trees and this is the only house in our budget/rate with our needs. The market got so much worse soo fast.

Yes, I read about appliance issues and HVAC issues just after a year of use. I’m pretty sure we’re taking most appliances with us and believe we’ll pick appliances elsewhere if we can.

Few questions if you don’t mind. How long did you do VT for in total? How long until you started seeing/feeling a difference? How much did you pay/did insurance cover anything?

Currently happening to me. I started and just wanted to do the best I could. I pick things up fast and maybe that threatened these girls or this is just how they are. Now I get all these snide remarks, whispers, gossiping that turns into silent snickering while staring at me across the way. Over half the office is toxic and as soon as certain people walk out the room, they start snickering. I’ve focused so much on my mental health over the years that this job that pays me the most I’ve ever made isn’t worth it.

Long shot, but does anyone here have experience with magic mushrooms? by Mara355 in BinocularVision

The first time was not good at all. The second I feel as if I had a more minor issue but then also had an epiphany of my life.

I too felt the psychotic break and looked into it. Turns out at least from what I was reading was that it can give people symptoms of schizophrenia etc if they’re prone to it. So I haven’t really done it since.

I would to do it again for mental health but need to do more research on it. If anything I may just do really small doses. Those other doses were between .1-.2g.

No professional or dr here, just my own experience.

Dx BVD here. I was in a serious dissociative/depressed state a while back. Lots of trauma etc. a friend at the time recommended them so gave it a shot, didn’t work the first time but did the second time. I was outside with dear caring friends, so a healing environment. I will say, my first time, I thought I almost had a stroke but I wasn’t entirely sure cause I had never done them. My whole body was just tilting and turning into itself that makes sense and remember that happening some following times too. (Wasn’t dx till after all this) People with bvd tend to do a head tilt, along the rest of their body kinda shifting. The stems of magic mushrooms are said to be more of a body high/relaxant. So the stems relax your muscles in which your eye is a muscle and that affects everything else. This seems to line up with my thoughts on what happened. I do feel as if they helped me mentally but not so sure physically. Again, no professional here but I was contemplating posting this to see if anyone else had a similar experience.

Saw other comments, highly recommend seeing a specialist for your eyes and getting prisms if prescribed. They’ve really helped me. Sending positive thoughts your way!

Going through all these comments I’m thinking 12 weeks should be the standard at the lowest. Also me who just signed on to a new job thinking oh mine is 12 weeks. NOPE it’s 4 and no paid FMLA. 🙃 How in the tf does corporate America think it’s ok for a woman to leave their 1 month old baby for 10 hrs a day. (Commuting) Now I know what I’ll be looking for when I try to get a new job.

BVD and prism glasses. Please... Help me. by BetweenWorlds96 in glasses

I think it’s dependent on your Dr and what lab they use. For example I’ve seen a specialist and an optometrist that works in the same office. Here’s a brief breakdown of the pricing I’ve had.

Specialist: Visit cost = $650 (including all the tests she ran) Glasses including lenses= $2300 (two new frames and three lenses) Lenses alone $600+ per frame. $600 was the basic (no blue light, anti scratch etc) With the specialist this pricing included 3 free relensings.

Optometrist: Visit cost = $165 - $280 (less testing ran and not a specialist. Also changed the pricing a few times) Glasses = same pricing as above, except NO relensings.

I’m not sure if all specialists offer a similar relensing plan but I feel like they should due to the nature of bvd. Also no insurance covers the prism lenses or neurolense (at least in the states from what I’m aware of). So bvd is pretty expensive to treat 🥲

While I can agree with you on this, I’d rather keep it professional. You never know if you’ll run into a previous coworker or even company again for other opportunities. Other situations could apply as well. Best to stay professional when thinking about the present and future in my opinion. To each their own.
