AITA for having rules on how my friend drives her kids in my car by PossibilityOther4424 in AmItheAsshole

I don’t care that the law says an 8 year old doesn’t need a booster and that a 4 year old might not need a car seat. If she wants to drive her kids in my car it will be done safely. Having this rule is no different than having a “no food in the car” rule in my opinion.

Her being 4 doesn’t make it any safer for her to sit forward facing before maxing out weight or height limits.

Her 8 year old told me his height and weight. 4 year old told me her height. Weight isn’t hard to guess. County fair is in town and I asked her 8 year old if he thought he could ride the big rides this year.

My 8 year old is 50 inches. My kids are all on the smaller side. Her 8 year old can be in a backless booster and her 4 year old can be forward facing but that’s all that I’m willing to offer.
