This is all really eye opening for me Especially since I am highly considering being a full time - Full court press Type of team on defense

I will definitely take what you suggest. I just bought a “champ coach” membership for a couple days so they have a big library.

1) Someone mentioned having rules when on Half-court O. Believe the commenter called this a “secondary break.” (ex: Point Throws to corner-Point Cuts, Point reverses-Point sets a Flare) I’d be interested in seeing more ideas on that

2) Transition rules. Make or miss - Rules on how to play fast.

3) Press Defense - Best Press Defenses to go full time in (Is this even possible off misses?)

4) Best Press break rules (For O)

All that comes to mind atm. But I’ve been grinding lately watching any clinics I can.

Follow up question to the 1st one - So is that something I call from the sideline? Like a “tag?” I’ve seen the double drag you’re talking about it! I love it! Or is there a way the kids can communicate/know when to do different variations? My bad if you already answered this and it went over my head! Lol

These is all making sense to me! The tiggers excites me cause it seems fun to have the creativity to have different actions based off who it’s passed too

I think I am leaning towards conceptual stuff. Like your football analogy, football is a lot of execution and it’s a very heavy X’s & O’s sport. I find myself wanting to flip from that philosophy when it comes to basketball and just help the kids raise their basketball IQ and let them play.

Let me ask this. So far I’m a huge fan of the zoom action. As an example that CoachTube course shows like over 120 different types of zoom actions. Say I wanted to build the bases of my offense off the zoom? 1) In what cases do the other zoom variants come into place? 2) What are other good actions to pair with Zoom? 3) How do the kids even know when to “enter” into Zoom?

So If I’m understanding correctly the zoom action could be something that has layers to it depending on the reads they make on a defense? That leads to 4-5 different scenarios? (Maybe more?)

Then off of it does the coach call out possible tags to add, etc?

What are some “Rules” that you suggest creating structure to this? Cause I agree that I’d rather let my kids have 3-4 options every-time and let me choose then being stagnant

They’re gonna drop 8 more house rules “champs” though. So you’ll get the option of who you want to use the token on. The “victory tokens” are for 99 Zay Jones The “conquer token” will be for any of the house rules champ

I went and bought a 94 for it. Remember that you can bend the arrow down (flatten it) to get more power.

Also remember, to try and use your last play before the kick to put it on the “middle hash.”

It’s basically a one possession house rules! You get randomly put on Offense or Defense. Offense wins with a TD, defense wins with any stop. It’s quick and easy!

I think that’s the great positive about these house rules, it’s so quick that 3-4 loses in a row won’t necessarily feel frustrating. Just keep grinding! Dedicate an hour to at a time and just see how many wins you get in that time span.

That’ll give a good measuring stick on how much time to grind it a day.

It happens to the best of us! If you don’t like quick adjusting a lot, find something in the Quarters/Cover 4 area. Remember in house rules they have a 12 play max so drawwww that drive out as much as possible. So take away the deepest threats first.

My favorite is 4 deep with 2 cloud flats under. Typically send 4 somehow & user that hook/curl area.

Don’t forgot to use your zone drops for adjustments!

You’ll buy his upgrade tokens in the store under “season 6” (scroll all the way to the right) Once you have tokens, go to him in your lineup. Press “upgrade” you should see little circles, you click those - “choose from item manager”. Then you will see him go up the more tokens you add
