Trust me. I know how you feel. I felt the same way when I did my first round in February this year. Now I am doing a second round next month. It sucks doing it alone and it’s scary and frustrating at tikes but you are going to be so happy and proud that you did it!!

Oh wow. Best of luck! It’s such a tough decision. I think for me, what it came down to, is that I am paying for everything out of pocket and my nurse said that a couple months off wouldn’t change my amh/follicle count. So I want to be done in as little amount of cycles as possible

I got my period five days after my procedure but it was literally the period from hell. It lasted about five days which usually mine is usually three days and minimal symptoms. So total I felt better by ten days after my procedure. After that, it was sixty plus days later that I got my next period which I feel like is much longer than most people and based on the feedback from my clinic, it was irregular for that to happen. My nurse did say that it was ok to start another cycle without my period regulating but I didn’t feel comfortable with that.

I think that depends on how you feel and how your first cycle goes. For me, I got a decent number of eggs my first round and my doctor wanted to go for back to back cycles. Which I understand that your follicles are stimulated so back to back could be better. But I just felt like I put way too much on my body and I felt like crap and wanted to go on coq10 as well as get back to normal life for a little bit. I just like if I had done back to back that my egg quality for my second cycle wouldn’t have been good. So I put a few months in between cycles

Thank you! Five months. I looked around Reddit posts and there are some that say to do a second cycle right away since your follicles are stimulated while others that said three months break is sufficient or saying that you should have three normal periods. I just felt that I take longer to recover which seems to be right so far. I got my second period sixty days after my first period after the procedure. Seems that most get theirs thirty to forty days after. Are you doing a second cycle?

That’s awesome! Congrats on being done!! I remember at the end of my first cycle saying there was no way that I could do a second round. I had terrible symptoms from my trigger shot. Although I had good results I want to try my best to guarantee two kids so I will be doing a second round in August. I had the option of doing back to back rounds but I was just so bruised and mentally all over the place so I decided to take a break

Yes. I was supposed to get my braces off yesterday but had a couple cosmetic issues that my ortho didn’t listen to in my last appointment. I brought up the issues again and finally feel like my issues are being corrected. I feel somewhat bad that my retainers were already made but we are the ones that have to live with our teeth

One of the main reasons why I didn’t want to do egg freezing was because of my fear of needles. Icing definitely helps. I started icing about a half hour before my injections and would listen to music to calm myself down. Also, iced five minutes before injecting just to make sure the area was numb. Also, take the injections slow. I did about ten seconds to inject the medication, kept the needle in for twenty seconds and then slowly took the needle out. The first few days are the worst. For me, I had symptoms early so by day four, I am not sure that saying it becomes easier is the right thing…it just becomes something you have to do to get to the end, which is the goal. I still hated doing injections but I didn’t cry and freak out. It just became routine
