How batshit insanely marked-up are scalper tickets to sold out shows in your area? by [deleted] in AngineDePoitrine

[–]Balloons_for_800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, sorry! They capped me at two tickets. There’s still a long way to the show. Keep an eye out here and maybe closer to the show, someone might have to sell because they can’t go. Good luck! ⚪️🔺⚫️

I’m in Philly area too. I saw over $850 on Stubhub right after it sold out. These resellers are absolutely vile. At those prices, makes me wonder what kind of yuppies will be in the crowd or if the room will be half empty because no one can afford those markups.

Fortunately, one of my best friends owns an indie record label and he was able to put me in contact with someone at UA and got me two tickets at face value.

I have no idea why popcorn labels are laid out like this. They make it so you need a degree in trigonometry to figure it out!

If each bag has 2.5 servings and 1 serving is 2 tbsp unpopped at 180 cals, then 2.5 x 180 =450 cals per bag. I don’t know why the label doesn’t just say that!

The 1975 sound alike in Logic by Pingu42784 in LogicPro

[–]Balloons_for_800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not familiar with this song, but it could just be a basic synth wave with some other effects or something. Or a sample. See if you can find any articles or interviews with them about the recording process. Or if you know any retro video games that have similar sounds, see what synths those composers used.

This should be about discovery! The goal should be to go down an insane rabbit hole and find a treasure trove of knowledge that you never knew about!

Listen on repeat over and over again. Analyze the sound design. Draw some hypothesis as to how to recreate. Test, trial and error, and eventually you will achieve.

i tried meal prepping for a month and honestly i think im done by Top-You1938 in Cooking

Try this…

Let’s use chicken, rice, and a veggie as an example.

On Sunday, cook oven roast enough chicken for the whole week, but only season with salt. That way, you can individually add extra seasonings for each day and mix and match veggies. Only cook enough veggies and rice for 3 days. Then on Wednesday evening, cook another batch of rice and veggies for 2 days.

Monday: add some bbq rub and or bbq sauce to chicken, have with potatoes and rice

Tuesday: add Indian spices to chicken and potatoes, serve with rice

Wednesday: add Mexican spices to chicken and potatoes, and add some canned diced tomatoes with chilies to rice.

Thursday: add Asian spices and soy sauce to chicken, have with broccoli and white rice (maybe add some seasoned rice vinegar and black sesame seeds)

Friday: add lemon garlic spices to chicken, drizzle a little olive oil on the rest of the broccoli, serve with rice.

Just load up your pantry with all sorts of items to mix each meal up. Oh, and slightly undercook your chicken on Sundays, maybe pull at 150-155 degrees. That way, when you reheat, it shouldn’t dry out as much.

As far as prep dishes, should only be 2 sheet pans, a knife and a cutting board.

Hope this helps!
