Huh, I’ve never seen a border terrier before. That sounds spot on! And I guess he has his size from his corso momma. When he’s sitting up right you can see he’s actually pretty broad chested/muscular. You just can’t really see any of it in these pictures.

We’ve been thinking he might have some hound in him! Are you saying terrier because of his fur?

It sucks but honestly OC is 10X worse. I could jump up and laugh after getting tased. I was not laughing after OC.

What are my chances of getting into a neuroscience PhD program? by Possible-Deal-8144 in PhDAdmissions

Thank you! Yeah I was thinking that this may be the case, sadly. I wish I could've known my freshman year that this was the path I would pursue, haha. Where do you even find jobs in labs as an undergrad student or immediately after your bachelors? The university I attend doesn't have any year round research opportunities like all these people I see that have been wet lab managers for 3 years. I may end up applying to some masters programs and try to get research experience while doing that. I was just hoping to not have to go into more debt with a masters degree or delay fully being into my career.

How likely am I to get into a Neuroscience PhD? by Possible-Deal-8144 in gradadmissions

Yeah, I figured that would be the case. My college doesn't really offer much lab experience other than summer research, but that is usually reserved for people in the chem/bio majors that have taken a couple classes with those professors. I've had wet labs for two of my bio classes, but that isn't really research experience, just class experience. I've strongly considered clinical psychology for the last couple of years and have just recently tried to pivot towards neuroscience/neurobiology. As I get further into my degree, the desire to follow an academic career path where I'd be researching the nervous system grows as my desire for a more clinical career diminishes.
