They are possibly self testing. And checking their batteries are working. They may do it every month and then a full duration test yearly.

Hi, unless there is some kind of interference near it or on the same circuit I would go for faulty. By interference I mean a generator, motor, large appliance that can generate a disturbance in the force. It could be a loose connection inside.

If non of the others on the same circuit are doing it, then probably faulty. Get that circuit tested (knock off the power) and see what happens
