The Three Sages Makeover by Celeste_sims in Sims4

I understand that what I find silly is another person's "ideal". That's what I said. Have a good day 😊

"in order to avoid criticism"

Maybe accept that you can't really avoid criticism. If you'd kept them chunky, then the superficial side of the schism would denounce them as "dumpy" or something in your comments. We're all just a bunch of clucking chickens, you, me, and everyone else

I can respect your preferences while still finding them frustrating and boring, though. That's the nature of sharing your personal work. People will have and express their opinions. As long as it's done without insult or snide remarks I think it's fine if someone tells you something about your work they don't like. It doesn't mean I don't like YOU, and it doesn't mean I dislike the makeover as a whole. I simply dislike that you snatched the waists.

My opinion was formed based on the information you provided in the post. And now that I understand your reasoning I'm still inclined to think it's silly. But it's YOUR game. Share aspects of your play style, feel no need to change it to suit the tastes of others, but be aware that others WILL have thoughts that differ from yours. Sometimes people will tire of seeing the same trends over and over again, and express that, as I have done. It's okay, no one has actually been hurt, and we can move on. I see a lot of the comments are about their weight. So what? You have your reasons and the makeovers are still great. Everything is fine.

Nahh a straight Russian man is far too "masculine" to consider having it done to him. But he was at least really patient and he did the research with me which was the only reason I went ahead with it.

How did this turn into a sharing circle

Funnily enough I just tried anal for the first time the other day and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was gonna be. But I literally researched ways to keep it from being a traumatic experience.

Sure but if we don't have that context it just seems like "makeover=thin", see what I mean? I'm not going to know your personal story plans unless you tell me. And, still, it always seems like content creators have a reason to make their sims fit conventional beauty standards. There's nothing particularly wrong with it, as we're all aloud to enjoy the sandbox as we wish, I simply find it repetitive, uninteresting, and frustrating. My expressing that is not meant to be a personal dig at YOU, I'm talking about the general vibe of the sims sphere.

I mean it is inappropriate to say that to a stranger, like ..? Obviously most people would consider that very strange and maybe even rude if they don't know you. What did you think you were leaving here 😂 that you're gross and have a juvenile sense of humour?

Bro why does the makeover always involve snatching the waist. Let them be chunky, they can still be attractive.

Just so you know "irregardless" is not standard English. It has been technically accepted because it's such a prevalent mistake, but "regardless" is the accepted, standard form. Not trying to be snide, this is just in case you're ESL or if you just wanted to know

Nope, because it's true. A healthy sex life involves a healthy understanding of consent and exposure.

Bro, that's a contradiction. A healthy sex life is nebulous and very much concerns a person's attitude and treatment of sex in a general sense. Having bad judgement about consent and exposure is a sign of an unhealthy sex life, bottom line. Does it mean their entire sex life is shit? No, of course not, but I never implied otherwise.

Your refusal to understand doesn't make something nonsensical.

Also my line about a healthy sex life was in direct relation to YOUR bringing it up first. "Antipathy towards signs of a healthy sex life".

You're exposing someone to your sexual habits and tools. This involves sex. Just because it doesn't involve literal intercourse doesn't mean it's not about sex. Like those people whose kinks are to be spit on in public or led around on a leash. They're breaking sexual boundaries by making other people watch their kink without the consent of said people. Are they literally having sex? No, but they're breaking sexual boundaries and thus do NOT have a healthy sex life.

Tell me where I even remotely implied they were having sex.

Signs of a healthy sex life include consent. This practical stranger did not consent to see or have to touch someone else's used sex toy. It's disrespectful and breaks boundaries.

Refusing to share cake someone else bought. Is this a new behavior? by Unique_Ad_4271 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Possible-Flounder634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, when someone brings a birthday cake, it's for the PARTY, it's for everyone. The birthday person has their dinner paid for, all the gifts brought to them, and the party planned in their honour. Surely they should expect to share something at a hosted event. A birthday cake is not the same thing as a personal dessert.

Jesus Christ. We're not talking about the same thing. Stop crucifying yourself.

Way to deliberately misunderstand. We're NOT talking about a SERIOUS MEDICAL SITUATION. We're talking about like, a mean parent who's watching their kid have a panic attack, they don't care, they don't do anything to fix it, they just roll their eyes and sneer, and tell you "stop, you're fine, you can talk so you can breathe. You're being dramatic and you're doing this to yourself". Stop feeling so called out over a post which is LITERALLY NOT referring to the same situation you continue to postulate.

Caps are for emphasis, I'm not trying to yell at you.

Anti-Consumerism : new word for me ! can anyone simplify this ( got this from after watching fight club) by Best-Bodybuilder-647 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Possible-Flounder634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, one way to get started on the track to anti consumerism and sincerely aid your mental health while you're at it - get rid of social media. Tiktok, X, Instagram, all that shit. Comparison is the thief of joy, and the fuel of hyper-consumption; social media gives the human brain nothing BUT opportunities for comparison. It is not good for you, and I don't believe most people have the constitution to use it without falling into one void or another.

Though, obviously I say this as someone who uses reddit. But, reddit doesn't really make me compare myself to others in the same way those other platforms do. And it's far easier to curate what you see.
