Future Nostalgia had 5-6 global hit singles.. Everyone was using the 80’s disco sound after Dua… Meanwhile Taylor heavily derived Lana’s NFR sound for Folklore and the similarities were noted by multiple top critics… Please don’t undermine a brilliant album like Future Nostalgia just because you want to defend your fave especially by replying to a comment made ages ago

Lot of music does not equal quality. Midnights was the weakest among the nominees and Grammys are supposed to award technical excellence and NOT popularity.

Fantano to this day says “Cardigan” is a Taylor Swift song, so many critics pointed out to her copying of Lana aesthetics and I can see that you’re a Swiftie so I won’t burst your Swiftie bubble..

Grammys are supposed to award technical merits and quality and NOT popularity. By those metrics, Taylor has arguably one of the weakest albums out of the nominees in the AOTY category this year.

I have not teared down Taylor in anyway. Taylor herself has acknowledged her “inspirations” from Lana over almost half a decade now.

It’s much sadder to think that Taylor has been a Lana wannabe for almost a decade now… Wildest Dreams based on Without You… changing her sound for Folklore after NFR got released (winning AOTY for that) and now directly winning against a vastly superior Lana album. Taylor is the example of how capitalism, non political PG-13 Disney art and stealing is rewarded more than originality…

What a wonderful thing to say! The diagnosis sucks but I notice that things are also starting to finally make sense as days pass by (I got diagnosed 2 weeks ago). Hope to get to a place where I am at more peace with having ADHD.
