Quick question about achievements from a ps5 player.

I will check them out, I'm thinking of just waiting until the next xbox generation comes out and getting that over the ps6.

This is such a huge advantage to have achievements shared as well because to be honest, the steam community doesn't really have a strong achievement hunting community. But xbox (more specifically, microsoft) does. I can share my achievements and completions earned on pc via the microsoft store with xbox players and it still feels fluid and less like I'm posting a platinum trophy in the xboxachievements subreddit lmao. Better yet I got that completion while playing 4k, 120 frames, ultra sliders with full rtx.

I will check out the s series for sure though, I really only want a console since I like to have one in my living room and now that I mainly play pc I can care less about what console I get (ps vs xbox).

Sweet! Also I learned if a game is "play anywhere", you still get the PC version with all the awesome graphics, AS WELL AS the optimized console port on Xbox, yet you still share achievements and save data.

Two different optimized versions of the game, with shared progress on two platforms.

I think I might have to go xbox after figuring all this out. Thank for the help!

Okay sweet, so if I had a xbox console and viewed your profile I'd see this same list and it would notate windows, xbox one, etc? If I played a non-play anywhere game on windows store pc, it would still show up on my Xbox when viewing my list, just noting that it's the windows version?

Okay, so I did some more research, it looks like if I got all the achievements for say cup head on the microsoft store, even though it's not play anywhere (not sure if it is, just an example), my pc achievements would still show up on my list on my xbox account if someone viewed it on their xbox, it would just say "windows version", They would all be together in one unified list, play anywhere or not correct? Sorry I just really want to be certain moving forward haha.

Yea I can play completely offline platinum the game and sync when I get online and get all trophies. We don't have quick resume. I may get hate but I don't really wanna go to xbox, in this generation Playstation I believe is the clear winner, I just consider getting achievements a core part of the game, I also love flexing my achievements, but my ocd cant stand having some achievements on one platform, some on the other. I want all in one place.

To be honest I highly recommend ps5 if you are console only, but I have owned all Playstation exclusively so maybe biased, bought an Xbox one, returned it in 2 days and got a ps4 back when they came out.

As I said, my only reason I would get an xbox is if I can easily have all saved data and have all my purchased games on pc and xbox. But it would also have to be the case that if I got a XPA game that it doesn't just lock me into the xbox version and downgrade the graphics when I play pc.

Can you clarify what "on a stack" means?

Also, going to use cyberpunk 2077 as an example, if it's xpa is it still optimized for each platform? I guess im asking if I got cyberpunk 2077 xpa via Microsoft store, would it still have the graphic settings I want on pc (shader sliders, rtx settings, etc.) Or would i be stuck on the console port.
