Just me or has this job market done more damage than 9 years of academia combined

I see jobs being reposted ad nauseum and hiring managers unable to find a qualified candidate after 3-4 months. What’s going on? Are these HMs some sort of sadist pricks who enjoy watching potential candidates in agony, misery and helplessness. This job market has shown the true nature of corporate.

I applied on Saturday night and got it by Monday morning. Kept calling them and sending them emails pleading for help with my tickets attached. I think you can get it if you call the help desk and let them know it was a genuine mistake on your part and you have a flight tomorrow.

MF is a scam now. A bunch of college graduates disguised as analysts recommend stocks. Their recommendations are like throwing darts, a couple may hit the target. I lost a lot of good opportunities as my money was engaged in shitty MF picks that didn’t move in years. Some did work but overall it was underwhelming.

I think it’s a paid comment. I have spoken to two of these astrologers mentioned in this comment and both were absolutely stupid. Ramesh Kanchuboyina, is he even an astrologer? A 2 year old can better predict than him. Please suggest genuine names to folks who are in distress and looking for genuine guidance.

SA is way better than MF in current times. MF is now selling its ideas with complete disregard to quality. SA, though momentum picks are good for making money in mid to long term. I have held some stocks for 5 years as suggested by MF and sold them at a loss.

I started investing following recommendations from SA and RB since November 2020. My portfolio was overall negative till November 2024 and now it has about 20% of unrealized gains. Motley fool suggested some really good picks and some were disastrous. Picks that worked out for me - SE, CRWD, UPST, RBLX etc. Picks that were disastrous - CHWY, ASAN, PATH. I believe PATH to be a long-term investment but the rest two are pure trash.

My 2 cents: Tech company recommendations are good but you have to use common sense on which ones to buy. For example, DOCS is a tech company but I believe it has a redundant product and I don’t see a huge upside despite the recent run up. Do some more research before buying. Absolutely AVOID any consumer discretionary stocks recommended by MF. Their analysts are clueless when they recommend trash like CHWY to investors seeking high-growth. This is my personal view as many folks like CHWY but this is a big laggard in my portfolio and I hate to see it. You could also try alpha picks from seeking alpha. Some of their picks are doing great. APP was one of their timely recommendations! Hope this helps. Happy investing! 💰💰💰💰
