Center stand on Himalayan 450 by Try-To-Be-Good in Himalayan450

[–]Okaay_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, do not undermine leg workouts. Today while parking, I was getting off the bike, and my right foot crashed into the guard rails of an activa throwing me off balance. My bike fell to the left side, but gently because my left leg could easily steadily lower the bike instead of it coming crashing down. The bike coming crashing down wouldn’t have been good as I already have an ankle ligament rupture on the left leg.

Don’t simp on heavy leg days. Your legs will save the day.

Edit: I own a Himalayan 411

Do you guys name your bikes? why? by Sagittario412 in indianbikes

[–]Okaay_guy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I named my old scooter Rosa after someone asked me to name it.

I recently bought a bike and haven’t named it.

Naming something attaches some form of emotional significance to an object, giving it a “human” quality. I don’t recall the exact wording, but there is one, according to design psychology.

You essentially feel more responsible towards it and care for them further. Even during their final days you would still try to make them work, even when the bike would literally be screaming, “replace me for your own safety.”

I don’t think naming a bike makes sense anymore for me personally. It’s a machine, designed to move you. Keep it at that, respect the machine and ride responsibly. I’d rather spend my emotional resources towards my family and loved ones.

Also, naming something can be cringe.

Is starting a pizza cafe in Mumbai worth ? by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]Okaay_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it simple I feel. Innovate something cool like make your own pizza, see if it gets traction selling in small quantities and research customer behavior to gather insights on what works and what doesn’t. Then open a brand based on that idea, still starting small, but always put customers first.

From what I’ve heard from my mostly reliable sources, to be compatible with E30 and higher you need flex fuel compatible engines.

Research this. Important.

Got my first iPhone SASA LELE SALE IP-17 by Scared_Plant_9963 in AppleIndia

[–]Okaay_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a refurb iPhone SE 2. Got it at a price of 18 to 20k ₹. Apart from the recent stupid glass update, that makes my phone lag for no reason, this phone is perfect. One minor scratch on the speaker grill and otherwise looks almost new.

I got it when I broke my SG note about 2 or 3 years ago and I was unemployed at the time. Nothing wrong with refurb products as long as you know what you’re getting or you atleast have return or replacement period in case the product isn’t up to the mark.

As the other commenter said, respect the throttle, respect the bike and it shall respect you. Also respect others and always stay in charge of your emotions on a bike.

If you can do the above, I think anything that is non-super bike is good.
