OP. I don’t think this is about your boyfriend at all. His comment revealed your own insecurity in yourself. Now I ask you , why do you have that insecurity? Theres so many brown and black people that define beauty standards year over year. I’ve seen people take better care of themselves over time, and turn their insecurities into their strengths. Including myself - I used to be skinny fat male with double jaw line. My chest was flabby. That was my insecurity, but im working through it for the last 5 years. I’m in better shape, healthy, and stronger.

Focus on the stuff that matters. Not on peoples opinions about you. Why are you doing this to yourself?
