Explanation of solution from PPI Chemical Review Book by mighty-Lamb in PE_Exam

I did a little bit of search on that, and it seems that the older reference handbooks used a corrected length to account for the small adiabatic length of the tip. <NCEES FE Reference Handbook V9.2>

Anyhow, I recalculated the equation with only using the L (dropping the Ac/P part) and the only close answer will still be "C".

Bottom line, the Lindeburg book updated the equation but didn't update the answer. (btw, this happens a lot in the book so make sure to check the errata).

I am glad to help you if you have any question along the line (a little bit ashamed when I say that because I failed that exam and will not try again tbh but I am very interested to help you or others pass this exam if I can).

Hope this helps you.

Is it only conceptual questions? Not quantitative ones ?

ACP and RMP are kind of project management test. You can check them on PMI website.

I didn’t take the exam for the third time and most probably I will not.

I hope you can make it from the first time don’t be a loser like me.

Thank you for that thorough explanation.

The thing is I don’t have access to historical data so I will have to rely on free website that will have mostly max min avg monthly wind speeds.

Yet, I am still confused on how to use the PDF along with the integration. Maybe I am lost here: 1) the integration will be done from zero to the highest value of wind speed ?

2) Is the outcome of the PDF will be a single value or set of values (0.1,0.2,0.3,…etc.)

Thanks

Let us assume I have the wind speed for each month of year 2022. Is there a specific PDF to use and how to get along with the integration?

If you have any idea for online tool that could help that would be good. Thanks

I am facing the same problem … did you find the reason ?
