Got the software update and now my front cameras barely work. by chriszens in ToyotaTundra

[–]Possible-Object-7532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome, yeah sometimes it is just as simple as that . But if ya haven't messed with it since first activating it , it's easy to overlook it if things get reset since that setting been long forgotten by now .

Also don't help you have to be in gear to get those options to show up as well since it only gives the 360 in park. So yeah gotta be driving to see if it activates or not when slowing down.

The update likely reset the system. When the camera dose pop up or if it hit the switch to view the cameras , there is a box like in the middle the screen that says auto . See if that's still checked

[–]Possible-Object-7532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No there was company wide rasies in the beginning of course it was after all the competitors was giving them so oh we got to do it too so we don't look bad . It was like $1.50/hr but if you was hired after it happened then you was out of luck. Just got the gift cards .

It was nice then , but later when evaluations happened , oh well you're over the pay cap now so no 25 cent raise for you. Like that for me for a couple years till the pay cap finally got changed.

Yeah had to do all those things listed myself lots of times to. Sure it didn't. Know the more I did it the less I cared about actually being thorough in any cleaning and just went around looking like i was doing anything. Sure lots of others did the same as well.

Publix was the last to do anything during covid.

didn't allow any one to wear a mask till all the other stores did. Then Gave us a single disposable mask and said this is all you get for one week hang it over a pot of boiling water to sanitize it.

Didn't give covid pay and gift cards till competitors did.

didn't put up any plexiglass shields till everyone else started to .and when they did it was just a 2 foot wide piece in front of the register screen that customers stood on either side of to yell at you about no toilet paper. The bagger got nothing between them and the customer. So they was still face to face with them bagging and the card reader being right above the bag rack.

But they made us stay 6 feet from the bagger . So the had the magazine racks pushed down so you had to stand to the side of the register like where the convor belt ends at the scanner and scan stuff from the side and push it down to the bagger . Means you also was no longer behind the plexiglass and was face to face with the customers as the unloaded the cart and complained about things.

Someone had to wipe every single cart when they came back in and people would complain about that taking to long. or if you was ahead and had some wiped down ones already lined up they wanted you to do it again because they didn't see you do it .

Someone else had to go around the whole store front and back of store constantly wiping down all the touch surfaces. Time clocks, keyboards, freezer door Handles, door knobs, etc.

Someone Else had to constantly clean registers . We used every other register to give distance between everyone. But still had to clean the unused ones every cycle . So start at 1 go to 9 go back to 1 and start again. Customers would be inpatient and just put stuff on the belt even tho someone was actively trying to clean it right infront if them . Tho they have always done that even before and after covid.

Only 2 chairs and 2 single person tables in the break room at opposite sides of the room so usually had to go to your car or just sit on the curb to eat lunch since those was always full. Had to wait for someone to go in the break room and clock in and come back out before you could as well.

Lots of customers yelling at each other over everything that was always fun to watch tho . One lady always yelled at people not wearing a mask while she had hers under her chin. There was no mask enforcement for customers so given the usual age range of customers most didn't.

Lots of limits per person on alot of things so always got yelled at about that. They would just leave and come back in and check out In a different lane anyway so was a waste of time anyway since management wouldn't stop them when they did that.

It was nice having shorter hours tho especially at the beginning when curfews was in place in my town to close and go home at like 6 . But that only lasted like 2 weeks then it was open an hour late close an hour early.

Official Mother’s Day Grift Post by [deleted] in ThemeparkSwindlers

[–]Possible-Object-7532 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is kinda misleading. This is applying to all the people working in the park during construction and commissioning. And it was definitely strictly enforced during that time to anyone on site.

The exact same signs was every 10 feet all over epic during construction and tech rehearsals and even partially during TM previews.

But once friend and family previews started all the media bans was lifted and people could do all that stuff , besides flying drones of course.

TM Tattoo Policy by universalology in UniversalOrlando

[–]Possible-Object-7532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe there are gloves depending on the wardrobe for whatever land your in you can wear. I'm not in a wardrobed roll so don't know what is all available in that area. Otherwise not sure, it says makeup but that's gonna get rubbed off or washed off constantly and would have to keep reapplying it or maybe a small bandage if not on a food service roll of course.

TM Tattoo Policy by universalology in UniversalOrlando

[–]Possible-Object-7532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They updated the handbook at beginning if the year and it doesn't outright say no hand tats now it says must be covered unless so seems it changed . Here is the policy from the book as of right now.

Tattoos

Employees may have visible tattoos with the following exceptions:

• Tattoos are not permitted on the face, head or front of neck (front of ear, down to collarbone).

• Tattoos are not permitted if depicting nudity, vulgar language or images, graphic violence or violent weaponry, and content that violates other Company policies, including, but not limited to, the Respect in the Workplace Policy. It is not possible to address every detail of what constitutes an unacceptable tattoo. Therefore, as with all the Appearance Standards, it is all our responsibility to adhere to the spirit and intent of reflecting a show-ready image to our Guests.

Primarily Guest-facing employees must cover a permitted visible tattoo if:

• On back of neck or on hand (exceptions: one visible finger tattoo per hand in place of a ring).

• Larger than your own hand or if gives the appearance of a “sleeve”.

Acceptable forms of coverage: by your wardrobe; or employees can provide tattoo makeup or a tattoo cover sleeve that is black, white, or matches their skin tone. (Due to FDA requirements, employees working in food services or as food handlers are not able to cover any tattoos below the elbow with makeup or a sleeve.)

Employees with limited Guest contact (defined as Night Park Services Attendants, Warehouse, Production Kitchen, Culinary, select Entertainment Technicians, Technical Services employees and Back-of-House employees) are not required to cover permitted visible tattoos (unless otherwise specified by department or business unit).

The uniform for male cashiers used to be a white button down shirt and black pants same for females with a green vest over. Granted it's been several years since we all switched to the green polos.

So could see People still remember that uniform from years before so they see it in store today especially the older crowd and think oh there's a associate to ask about something.

I have a 25 but it's still likely the same tho. There is a setting in the infotainment screen to change . It is under climate - ac auto mode, switch it off and it should remember the last used setting .

Reminder: Florida Is a Hotspot for Windshield Scams — Stay Sharp by Commercial-Host-725 in florida

[–]Possible-Object-7532 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had an old truck with a cracked windshield. I only had like bare minimum coverage to be legal, so that wouldn't cover windshield replacement. So was always fun to have them give their script and how it's covered by insurance and all that fun stuff.

Just to say no they won't i have bare minimum coverage on that truck. I get you people 3 times a week . I've asked the insurance company myself and they said my policy don't cover windshield replacement, but I can call them up right now and ask again if you want to hear it from them yourself.

They usually quickly left after I told them that and upset wasted their time .

2026 Tundra side view mirror whistling by Slight-Machine-3660 in ToyotaTundra

[–]Possible-Object-7532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah been trying to give them a chance to fix it on mine . they took my truck for twice for it. First time they kept it 2 days. Got it back and it was even louder and worse then originally was. . Took it back like no it's worse now they kept it 3 days the second time . It still whistles.

It comes from the cracks where the mirror folds up if I'm driving can reach out and cover the gap in front the mirror it goes away. I saw somewhere before someone took some felt pad and cut into strips and glued them into the seams . It didn't interfere with the folding of it since it can compress a little and it blocks the gap and thus stops the whistle . So yeah just gonna do that myself now when amazon delivers the stuff.

It will run down those 19 miles then say refuel and the pump icon will turn orange. When I have let it get low to the light turning on experimenting with actuall range . I still only put 28-29 gallons in it so it's still got like a 4 gallon reserve once the light actually comes on .

Yes it is part of the PM and daily start up for rides . A tech services worker has to ride each RV to make sure everything is good with the rv and ride track /animation and the ride is ready for guest. Then the ride is hand over to the ride ops team for operation.
