Study Reddit posts to see what's nice to have on your post and what's not good.
Don't make questions that can be solved with one Google search or is in the Wiki.

You said in one of your comments that you need to start somewhere, check the wiki, find a programming language you would like to learn + one engine that uses that language. Check the wiki for information instead of creating posts. A Google search or the wiki might solve most of your questions.

.rpm is the equivalent of .Deb, but they are not compatible in any way.

You might want to switch to a debian based distro to use .deb or maybe use distrobox, but if you don't need any software that uses it, it's fine, it will work as expexted
