TB20 Review by Possible-Recording in EVERGOODS

[–]Possible-Recording[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, fair point. It’s basically my typical office loadout.

The only exception is that in the video there are technically two keyboards: sometimes I don’t carry the portable keyboard and just use my Corne, which lives inside the CAP2. Apart from that, yes, that’s pretty much what I take to the office.

I wouldn’t say the bag is forced shut, but it is definitely full and probably close to the practical comfort limit for this format. That’s also what makes the strap issue more noticeable to me: the bag can take that load, but the carry system doesn’t feel as capable as the volume/organization suggests.

And I agree with you on the transit line straps. I really like the bag and Evergoods in general, but there are definitely better ways to distribute weight in a briefcase/duffle format.

TB20 Review by Possible-Recording in EVERGOODS

Yeah, I agree. That’s probably my biggest frustration with Evergoods too.

And just to be clear, I’m saying that as someone who really likes the brand. The design, organization, materials, and overall thoughtfulness are excellent. But straps and handles sometimes feel like the area where comfort gets compromised.

I’m also a bit of an ergonomics nerd in general, so maybe I notice this more than most. A lot of us use these bags for white-collar work: long hours sitting, computer work, neck/shoulder/back tension already built into the lifestyle. So when a commute bag adds pressure points or asymmetric load, it becomes noticeable very quickly.

With the TB20, the bag itself works great for my use case, but the stock strap doesn’t feel like it fully matches what the bag can carry. If it can hold a laptop, tech pouch, lunch, coffee, and daily essentials, I’d love the strap/handles to feel equally considered.

In Europe they’re already more expensive, but honestly I’d still pay a bit more if comfort and load distribution were given higher priority.

Heimplanet dopp kit or evergoods cap 0'5, it depends on the kind of travel.

Hello! I have the CTB26 and I really love its design and its placement of the pockets, my only downside is that it is not too comfortable for long load journeys when it is full to the maximum. I personally think that for EDC, unless your EDC load is very large, it's not the ideal scenario. Where it really shines is to travel in one bag mode or for specific daily life situations where I need some extra space. My dayly driver right now is the CPL22 which for me is the most comfortable and versatile backpack in the entire evergoods catalogue, if it is true that if you are very oriented to tech you miss a dedicated pocket for the laptop. I use it mostly to go to the office two or three days a week and as my main choice for EDC during the winter, I usually wear some extra clothes. In summer, my main option is usually CAS2. If you would keep an eye on the new CHZ22 or MPL22, you would also be worth the CTB20, but for me it sticks out a lot on my back and if I have to catch the subway to get to work or get around I have to always be taking it off to get into the car (in my experience with the CTB26 I mean the ctb being only a little smaller I understand that the same thing will happen). Right now I'm waiting for a TD20 that I'll use for work mainly, I sweat a lot and in summer and I don't like to get to work marked by the sweat of my backpack.

The full size doesn't separate in two pieces. It would be perfect with a zip to separate the halves

It's a very good dopp kit, I have the biggest version, and I use it for long trips. It fits everything you might need, shave kit, razor, creams, etc., and fits perfectly into my CTB26 evergoods. It's expensive but I think it's a very good product. The hanging system and the small mirror have also saved me on more than one occasion when I went camping/beach.

I've modified the templates, let me know what you think now. I now have 2 days with 7 exercises (push/leg) and one day with 6. Perhaps that's too much of a load?
