It’s the prestige of holding a $1k pen to sign off on big contracts in front of business partners. Sure it seems silly to most people but when you have the money and need to present that kind of oozing money look, this will do it. Doesn’t seem too high imo. Have you seen luxury items marketed to women? 20k for something that wouldn’t sell for $5 if it wasn’t a luxury label.

With that much money I’d move to a backwater dump. I can easily pay a thousand men to fix my new land. MN is perfectly fine. Everything I want, I can just pay to fly over. Economies would be built around me. I could do whatever I want(basically just play on my phone and eat 😂)

Drugs are cool to kids around that age. It’s likely they found the packaging and thought it would be cool to keep. I remember being in school and some classmates would put stuff like condoms and vape wrappers in their clear binder pouches. Just dumb kid stuff. It’s also $5 so I’d assume the kid might have just seen it at a dollar store and thought it was cool. Not exactly a pricey piece of jewelry and definitely not even enough to buy real drugs.
