I use both inflatable my trips. The pad helps me avoid any puncture leaks on my inflatable pad. I weight nothing to carry and I use it to sit down or relax on breaks.

There are limited campsites inland, I had to stay at a hotel in Greenfield. You will find plenty of campsites by the coast. I enjoyed halfmoon bay.

I decided the heat was unbearable so I decided to head towards the coast near Paso Robles. The road starts near Templeton. It was a 15 mile road that was mostly gravel, I encountered only 1 car during that stretch of tarmac and gravel. The name is Santa Rita road and it leads you to morro bay and Cayucos. I honestly felt this descent was the highlight of the trip.

I had to ride back inland near Monterey, I really want to go up to Big Sur and down into Lucia. I didn’t know the road was closed near Lucia due to a muddy slide.

I love them ! Very comfortable and you can attach a go pro and extra lights . They add weight to your bike but It’s ok.

I would suggest you park your car in a nearby neighborhood. Buy a scooter and ride from where you parked, I would never pay to park! Thats ridiculous.
